[Bug 104895] Missing /dev/md/X when installing over an existing LVM.
Public bug reported: I was reinstalling my box (Fedora Core 6 with LVM over two RAID1 mirrors) with a fresh Feisty beta installation and had a little problem with the LVM. Since I wanted to retain my old disk layout I had chosen "manual configuration" (or something similar - I can't remember exactly). After accepting RAID configuration, the installer complained about not finding a device "/dev/md/7" (one of the lvm devices). After making a simple link from /dev/md7 (that was there all the time) installation continued perfectly. I didn't have a possibility to make a fresh installation, so I cannot verify if this happens only when installing over an existing lvm/raid configuration. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Missing /dev/md/X when installing over an existing LVM. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104895 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
