[Bug 1956461] Re: Creative HD720p webcam doesn't work

2022-01-26 Thread Pawel J.
This affects me as well, kernel 5.4.0-96 atm.
When I plug in the camera and run dmesg | egrep 'usb|uvc|video|cam|Cam':

[23785.501888] usb 1-4: new high-speed USB device number 12 using xhci_hcd

[23786.365776] usb 1-4: 3:0: cannot get min/max values for control 2 (id 3)

The camera mic works fine but the camera is not detected as a video
device. The integrated latpop camera works fine.

[Bug 104895] Missing /dev/md/X when installing over an existing LVM.

2007-04-09 Thread Pawel J. Sawicki
Public bug reported:

I was reinstalling my box (Fedora Core 6 with LVM over two RAID1
mirrors) with a fresh Feisty beta installation and had a little problem
with the LVM.

Since I wanted to retain my old disk layout I had chosen "manual
configuration" (or something similar - I can't remember exactly).

After accepting RAID configuration, the installer complained about not
finding a device "/dev/md/7" (one of the lvm devices). After making a
simple link from /dev/md7 (that was there all the time) installation
continued perfectly.

I didn't have a possibility to make a fresh installation, so I cannot
verify if this happens only when installing over an existing lvm/raid
configuration.

** Affects: Ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed
