I believe the package is either the update-notifier or the update-
manager. It would be cool if someone would associate the correct package
to this bug.

[Bug 387308] Re: HTTPS Proxy Support for file sync

2011-08-25 Thread PedroRolo
For God's sake, change the importance of this Bug!

To be able to work behind a proxy is certainly a requirement for Ubuntu.

Ubuntu One is a central piece of Ubuntu's software. It doesn't cope with
the requirement above, than it is BUG! It's not a feature request and it
doesn't fit any wishilst. The amount of time this problem is taking to
be tackled is ridiculous! It is about to survive the 2nd distro upgrade!
It's ridiculous.

Can someone please tell me how can I try to scale this BUG?

2011-03-16 Thread PedroRolo
It's a pitty. As a Xubuntu user on a 512Mb machine this is a must for
me. I kindely reassert that you should reconsider the possibility of
using epiphany. It makes the best possible experience on an old machine:
the meant target for Xubuntu.

A bloated system should be an option and not the default when working
with old machines.

[Bug 387308] Re: HTTPS Proxy Support for file sync

2011-02-25 Thread PedroRolo
I am quite disapointed with the Importance that has been given to this
task... This prevents people that use Ubuntu at work to have a full
"Ubuntu Experience". These people are acctually the ones who are more
likely to use Ubuntu One.

It is a huge business mistake. In my opinion, this simple Bug totaly
compromises the success of Ubuntu One.

I will still stick to dropbox, google , last fm, magnatune while this
isn't solved.

[Bug 119733] Usability Bug: Unclear priority between user's and automaticaly-managed downloads/uploads

2007-06-10 Thread PedroRolo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ktorrent

The queue manager allways displays user's downloads above the ones that
have automaticaly managed priorities. It is unclear if the user's
downloads/uploads have bigger or lower priority than the ones which are
automaticaly managed.

Violated Nielsen's heuristics on GUI evaluation:

# Constancy and standards - Do similar acts perform the same?
# Match between system and real world - Is the "language" used by the gui
simple and familiar to the user?
# Help and documentation - Is information provided that is easily searched?
