Public bug reported: I have created a folder om my Desktop (called "Skrivebord" in danish) Populated the folder with som media files Opened a Nautilus window and navigated to a folder, where I want to copy desktop folder to. Observation: it is the same result, if the ctrl key is pressed while the drag'n drop is performed I guess it is the gnome-shell program, as it is the only process have activity, while doing the drag'n drop operation (multiple times within seconds) There is no indication is /var/log/syslog that something is gone wrong. Public bug reported: Upgraded from Ubuntu 6.10 following instructions on website. Was asked to accept deletions of packages not supported. Accepted the choice. Rebooted and found a system with no new kernel and the old 2.6.17 removed. I was fortunate enough to an ancient 2.6.12 kernel lying around from which I booted the system (many thanks to grub!)
