[Bug 1001825] Re: apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse: conflict between ubuntu and OS X
The script works with the Magic Trackpad. I just have to be a bit patient on startup until everything is loaded. I wrote a wrapper init script and an install script. They are simple adaptations of other scripts so they should be harmless, but no guarantees. This way I avoid running your main script on shutdown (runlevel 0, which defaults to stop and now does nothing). I renamed your script apple-keyboard, but otherwise it is unaltered. Actually, with this solution it should be possible to remove the loop again. ** Attachment added: apple-keyboard.zip https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1001825/+attachment/3214258/+files/apple-keyboard.zip -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001825 Title: apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse: conflict between ubuntu and OS X To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez/+bug/1001825/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thank you for the script. I modified it with the correct values for my devices and added it to /etc/init.d but I do not see any positive effects. What exactly is it supposed to help with? [Bug 898784] Re: Distorted screen on MacBook Air 3, 2 (GT216 10de:08a3)
Yes, assuming that is the relevant patch. I have not done any compilation, but the code is in a file called nouveau_connector.c and 3.4 and 3.5 are similar enough to do a backport. In the Precise kernel 3.2 the code is very different. However, right now I don't really see the point. Precise works fine with a 3.3 kernel and I assume Quantal will use 3.5 or 3.6. A photo of the screen shows the distortion. It does not matter if an external monitor is attached or not. The internal monitor works fine in Oneiric. [Bug 795342] [NEW] Email clients fail to reconnect after ip address change
Public bug reported: Email clients (tested with KMail and Thunderbird) fail to reconnect when my laptop has been suspended and moved to a different location and then resumed. Wifi reconnects just fine and I can use any browser, but tested email programs fail to connect to IMAP servers. KMail usually shows a message about retrieving folders for namespace whereas Thunderbird just hangs. KMail works somewhat better as network activity can be canceled and restarted within the program whereas Thunderbird needs to be terminated and restarted. Here is an old KDE bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74484 but this does not only affect KMail. [Bug 745220] Re: Kerneloops in mac20811 on Macbook Air
Thanks for your response. But that is a little like saying I might find running Mac OS X even more stable... Being able to use the new in-kernel driver was one major reason for upgrading to Natty.
