I think I have the same problem, anyways it causes acpid setup to fail:

"invalid option -- 'l'" seems to be the problem

I also can no longer suspend/hibernate - I assume due to this.

I have the same problem.

I have a buddy which is set to "show when offline". (Thank you so much
for that feature!!!)

But if no other buddy in that group is online, I will not see that
buddy.

If I enable "show empty groups" the group and the buddy is visible.

image-2.6.24-19-386 and linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic.

The problem happens sporadically but mostly when some process is using
the harddisk or the CPU "more than just a bit". The problem also
disappears sporadically - to come back later again.

I'm looking forward to testing this with Intrepid.

I use hardy with Kernel and have the problem with both kernels linux-
image-2.6.24-19-386 and linux-image-2.6.24-19-generic.

The problem happens sporadically but mostly when some process is using
the harddisk or the CPU "more than just a bit". The problem also
disappears sporadically - to come back later again.

I'm looking forward to testing this with Intrepid.

After seeing this issue I installed the linux-image-2.6.27-8 from
intrepid-proposed and now I also get only warnings in the syslog, no
more hangs.

I have the same problem.

I have a buddy which is set to "show when offline". (Thank you so much
for that feature!!!)

But if no other buddy in that group is online, I will not see that
buddy.

If I enable "show empty groups" the group and the buddy is visible.

I think I have the same problem, anyways it causes acpid setup to fail:
