I just had this happen on my Desktop running a nearly fresh (< 5 days) install of 14.10 64bit. It has been on for 1 day and 6 hours when this happened. i'm getting this error. I originally install from software center. trying to uninstall and reinstall for a clean start. I just did an in place upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 installed on my physical machine, Dell E6500.
