[Bug 581994] Re: Eclipse craches(noreason) after upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04

2010-11-20 Thread Phil Walsh
I was experiencing the same problem (frequent crashes while editing in
Eclipse), and removing xulrunner as described in comment #4 above seems
to have helped in my case.

[Bug 594332] Re: UbuntuOne applet crashes when started (clicked on) from GNOME panel.

2010-07-20 Thread Phil Walsh
Hi Mitch--Went through steps in the comment above (with the exception of
steps 6 and 7, which I skipped because the only machine listed was my
laptop). When I started Ubuntu One in step 8, I got the expected add
this computer screen. Now all seems well.

Thanks for the help!

Administrative question: do I close this bug, or do you?

Thanks,

Phil Walsh

[Bug 594332] Re: UbuntuOne applet crashes when started (clicked on) from GNOME panel.

2010-07-15 Thread Phil Walsh
a. when I ran the u1sdtool -q command on my laptop I got

ubuntuone-syncdaemon still running.

Ignoring this, I went ahead and removed syncdaemon.conf

After this I restarted Ubuntu One (Applications--Internet--Ubuntu One)
and things worked as if I was just installing Ubuntu One for the first
time. Namely, when I went to the web, the site asked me if I wanted to
register that machine for Ubuntu One.

After that, things seem to be working again.

I tried the same steps on my desktop machine, and the client now runs,
but I cannot register this machine as being connected to my Ubuntu One
account and it does not show up on the website under Computers
connected to this account.

[Bug 594332] Re: UbuntuOne applet crashes when started (clicked on) from GNOME panel.

2010-07-14 Thread Phil Walsh
Hi Mitch,

Followed the instructions in comment #2; as soon as I clicked on the
applet icon, the crash-report box came up.

Attached are the log files. Several of them are from December, but I
left them in the directory for the sake of completeness.

Let me know what else I can do to help diagnose this. I haven't had
access to my laptop for a few weeks but have it back now, at least part
time.l

Thanks,

Phil Walsh

[Bug 501202] Re: Firefox doesn't save current tabs

2009-12-28 Thread Phil Walsh
I get the same behavior if I go to Edit--Preferences--Main and select
Show my windows and tabs from last time for the When Firefox starts:
option. (I.e. when I set that option and then exit and restart Firefox,
I still get my pre-defined home page rather than the tabs that were open
at the time of exit.)
