[Bug 707003] Re: Kernel panic when trying to offline CPU1

2011-01-27 Thread Philipp Zabel
I do not see the Unknown IPI message line. The panic occurs a while after
shutting down CPU1, not when trying to boot it again.
I had enough time to get the dmesg via ssh. The full log is attached.

[Bug 707003] [NEW] Kernel panic when trying to offline CPU1

2011-01-24 Thread Philipp Zabel
Public bug reported:

Running Maverick with the kernel from the TI OMAP trunk PPA (linux-ti-
omap4 2.6.35-980.1release9), there is a kernel panic shortly after
trying to offline CPU1:

$ echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/online

[Bug 694461] [NEW] kernel config missing CONFIG_TASK_ options for iotop to work

2010-12-26 Thread Philipp Zabel
Public bug reported:

Given the slow primary storage (SD/MMC) on the pandaboard, it would be nice to
be able to use iotop to watch I/O usage by processes.
For iotop to work, the kernel configuration is missing the
CONFIG_TASK_DELAY_ACCT and CONFIG_TASK_IO_ACCOUNTING options.
