[Bug 1792035] [NEW] Custom Filters break when adding or removing Custom Filters
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1790099 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1790099 Public bug reported: A particular unknown bug with Synaptic Package Manager with adding or removing Custom Filters that ends up breaking the other default filters whenever you make changes for what specific packages you want to be filtered and shown. Changing 1 of the newly added filters breaks the other available Custom Filters. For example, I add a new custom filter and name it Held Packages, because I want to create a filter for packages that are held, pinned, or version locked. Add or remove any of the other checkboxes on the first tab for that new custom filter and hit OK, then re-open it and it ends up changing the other filters to the one you just made for the mew filter you created, changes are persistent even if you close and re-open Synaptic package manager. [ Steps to reproduce: ] 1 :: Open Synaptic package manager, and click Settings > Filters 2 :: Add or modify an existing Custom Filter and hit OK. 3 :: Open Filters again and look at what it changed to the other existing Custom Filters 4 :: Close filters and scroll through each Custom Filters to notice it changes all of the others, and doesn't filter what it should. Synaptic version 0.83 issue is very consistent, and messes up the filters for individual packages, no matter what filter you pick after adding or changing an already existing filter. ** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1792035 Title: Custom Filters break when adding or removing Custom Filters To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synaptic/+bug/1792035/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Tried taking screenshot with Shutter and it blacks the entire screen, does this for every other screenshot options; Full Screen, Selection, Window, etc... [Bug 124440] Re: [enhancement] Ubuntu needs a way to set mouse scrolling speed
I would really love it to be able to have mouse config adjustment options for the mouse scroll by pixel instead of it jumping per line. It's bit annoying with it jumping 3-4 lines at a time or even half a page. most users, especially if they've come from another OS such as Windows or Mac OSX would hate not being able to adjust the scroll by pixel. Mouse Scroll per Pixel [ 2 ] or to any other user defined number of pixels they wish to set their scrolling rate to. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 978891 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/978891 I've been having a similar problem, this happens when during a reboot, but if I start from cold boot it's fine. I have a Sony VAIO VCPEH 2H1E/w, and I have a Hitachi 2TB External HDD plugged in, whenever on a reboot and it's plugged in, the drive would begin to load up like if it was about to boot into something else on the drive, which I don't, except for maybe a few iso files which aren't setup to run in any way. When I come to a reboot I get past the BIOS start-up spashscreen then it jumps strait to a blank screen with a blinking underline on the screen. Unplugging the external Hard Drive and rebooting seems to fix it temporarily, I even made a check into the BIOS Settings to make sure the main hard drive installed is booting first before everything else which it is.
