[Bug 1867064] [NEW] Close buttons not rendering correctly
Public bug reported: I'm not gonna lie, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to report this or not. In the Pick and Calculator Snaps, I noticed the close button is rendering incorrectly. I looked online and saw someone else is having the issue too and decided to report it. I haven't noticed it in any other applications. Nothing major, but worth submitting somewhere. Here is a screenshot of what I see: https://imgur.com/a/70IcsU6 Here is the link to the other person's Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/gnome/comments/ervfbz/strange_close_button/ ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 19.10 Package: xorg 1:7.7+19ubuntu12 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.3.0-40.32-generic 5.3.18 Uname: Linux 5.3.0-40-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu8.4 Architecture: amd64 BootLog: Error: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/log/boot.log' CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: None CurrentDesktop: GNOME Date: Wed Mar 11 16:40:44 2020 DistUpgraded: Fresh install DistroCodename: eoan DistroVariant: ubuntu ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes GraphicsCard: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [Bug 1851715] Re: Screen brightness adjustment delay
Automatic brightness not enabled. Also, I have found the issue is not present in Wayland, only during Xorg sessions. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1851715 Title: Screen brightness adjustment delay To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1851715/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1851715] [NEW] Screen brightness adjustment delay
Public bug reported: Every time I adjust my laptop's screen brightness using the dedicated brightness keys, there is a substantial delay between when I press the button and the screen adjusts. Sometimes it even "twitches" and decreasing the brightness by tapping the button two times will quickly drop the brightness all the way to the lowest setting after the delay takes place. I've noticed the issue in the default Ubuntu session and in my current vanilla gnome-session. It also doesn't matter which extensions I have installed. The keys work flawlessly in Windows so it isn't a hardware issue. I have been meaning to report this for a while and have just never gotten around to it until just now. [Bug 1850012] [NEW] After log in, sound out/inputs resort to wrong devices
Public bug reported: I really hope I am submitting this bug to the right place, but every time I log in (whether after logout, reboot, etc.) the sound output and input devices resort to my HDMI cable (monitor) and the mic on my webcam instead of the devices I last selected. In previous versions of Ubuntu, if I were to select my speakers as the output device, they would remain the default until I changed it again, even after logout/log in. Now, whenever I log in, the sound still comes out of my speakers, but adjusting the volume does not work properly until I go into settings > sound > and then reselect my speakers as the output device. The volume indicator pops up on screen and it shows the sound going up or down, but it says it is adjusting the sound to my HDMI cable instead and it has no effect on my desktop speakers. I really hope that makes sense. Re: [Bug 1848563] Re: Application right-click bug in overview
I uninstalled all user installed extensions, uninstalled several applications I was not using to see if the number of pages affected it, and I rebooted the system afterward. The problem still persists. Here is a screen recording of the bug in action. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LPuNu6zoKr0HrNbg8uAoLwlUYYkPA7tl ~Phillip Prado ‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐ On Thursday, October 17, 2019 8:52 PM, Daniel van Vugt wrote: > I can't seem to reproduce the bug just yet but I also don't have as many > pages as you do... > > As a first step please try uninstalling your non-Ubuntu extensions, as > we find extensions cause a large number of bugs and side-effects. [Bug 1848563] [NEW] Application right-click bug in overview
Public bug reported: When I right-click on an application in the overview, the page automatically moves to the one below when I move the mouse to select one of the menu options.
