[Bug 1908241] [NEW] README.sysctl refers to "service procps reload", which no longer works
Public bug reported: /etc/sysctl.d/README.sysctl states: After making any changes, please run "service procps reload" (or, from a Debian package maintainer script "deb-systemd-invoke restart procps.service"). However, "service procps reload" no longer works: $ sudo service procps reload Usage: /etc/init.d/procps {start|stop|status|restart|try-restart|force-reload} It looks like the correct command should be "service procps force- reload"? [Bug 1824874] Re: undismissable, unclickable authentication dialog left on screen (top-left corner) after policykit authentication [pushModal: invocation of begin_modal failed]
I'm also experiencing this bug, after a screen lock / unlock cycle. The "Alt+F2 r" workaround dismisses it, thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1824874 Title: undismissable, unclickable authentication dialog left on screen (top- left corner) after policykit authentication [pushModal: invocation of begin_modal failed] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1824874/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1705345] Re: Installing new kernel hangs on plymouth --ping
I'm consistently hitting this bug on kernel upgrades, among other things, on Ubuntu 17.10. I'm working around it by manually killing the hung "plymouth --ping" process, which seems to make dpkg proceed successfully. ** Attachment added: "Output of "strace plymouth --ping" in gnome-terminal" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/1705345/+attachment/5063361/+files/strace-plymouth-ping-output.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1705345 Title: Installing new kernel hangs on plymouth --ping To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/1705345/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
