Dear Joseph,

unfortunatelly, I cannot reproduce the bug. I will try, however and if I
succeed, I will let you know and try the workaround you sent me.

Do you have a way to reproduce this bug?

If so, would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel?
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the
latest v3.4kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've
tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing'
tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags). This can be done by
clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom
of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
 tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not
boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
 Confirmed.

 Thanks in advance.

[Bug 964904] [NEW] Flickering dash

2012-03-25 Thread PicMon
Public bug reported:

Dear all,

I cannot tell exactly what is the main cause of the problem and if it is
a dash problem, however dash is affected the most.

After the last set of updates (downloaded on 25/3; previous update of
packages was made on 24/3; as of now there isnt any other update
available) the dash and the menus are flickering, making the whole dash
almost unusable. After scrolling over icons in the dash, icon names are
also flickering and some letters are not shown.

Thanks for help.

[Bug 949812] [NEW] Software center visualisation problem

2012-03-08 Thread PicMon
Public bug reported:

After you open Software center, click on Our star applications you get
a list expanded from the upper part of the window to the bottom part
(thats how it should be).

When you choose an application, click on More information and then you
press the back button, you get to the list of applications. However the
list ends in the middle of the window. You can scroll it forth and back,
but it still ends in the middle of the Software center window.

Re: [Bug 933900] Re: Software-center crash and cannot report a bug

2012-02-17 Thread PicMon
Hello,

Thanks for feedback. The idea (about not being possible to automatically
send report) is right, however the crash only occurs if and only if a new
version of some packages is found.

Regards

Michal

Hi! If you install all the latest updates from the update manager you
should be able to file automated bug reports again. The reason that it
is not possible to file bug reports when you have outdated software
versions is that various issues may have been fixed in the mean time.
I'll close this bug report, as it is desired behaviour, but if you still
face issues with software-center after installing the latest updates
please do file an automated bug report. Thanks for your help!

[Bug 931223] [NEW] HDD spindown is very frequent

2012-02-12 Thread PicMon
Public bug reported:

On 12.04 both alpha 1 and 2, the spindown of laptop harddisk is very
frequent. Mostly few times per minute. It is annoying and I suppose it
can cause damage to the harddisk. Last but not least it does not save
battery life.

Thank you for considering to change default values.
