Hi, Apparently I was too optimistic about the issue. [Bug 1609074] Re: Screen flicker on 16.04
I've just installed 4.8-rc4 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.8-rc4/ It seems to be working almost perfectly. [Bug 1609074] [NEW] Screen flicker on 16.04
Public bug reported: The computer running Ubuntu is being used as HTPC connected via HDMI to a screen projector. After upgrading to 16.04, it's unusable under production kernel. The screen starts flickering after a while (it's easily triggered by fast scrolling e.g. terminal's window). The whole screen get's filled with a noise, and then the projector gets disconnected for a while. The computer runs fine on an older kernel (4.2.0-35), it's still broken on the mainline kernel 4.7.0. [Bug 1534260] Re: Ubuntu does not recognized wireless mouse and keyboard after startup for couple of minutes
Because of problems with graphics on v4.5-rc1 (maybe because I'm using intel-linux-graphics-installer, or maybe it's the i915 drivers issues) I've tried earlier kernels. On v4.4 the bug seem to be fixed (complains about i915 firmware) On v4.3.4 the bug is still there (does not complain about the firmware) On both of them there were some display issues (flickering screen), so I had to go back to the standard 15.10 kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1534260 Title: Ubuntu does not recognized wireless mouse and keyboard after startup for couple of minutes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1534260/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
