It seems that the people from GNOME are not interested in implementing this feature. They ignore all the bugreports for several years now although this can't be very difficult to implement. I also think that this is not really a bug in Nautilus but in GVFS-Mounts. I have the problem (on 12.10, x64) when copying to my NAS when it is mounted with GVFS as SMB or as FTP. It works for me when using GVFS over SFTP.
