[Bug 549091] Re: byobu breaks ssh-agent SSH_AUTH_SOCK

2010-06-08 Thread Pontus Freyhult
It sems this fix does not work on the first run for a user after a
restart or /var/run/ cleanup, the link is not created (as $RUN does not
yet exist), but SSH_AUTH_SOCKS will still be pointed to the link
position later.

This is with 2.68-0ubuntu1.

recording with the built in microphone works.

[Bug 226272] Re: X video rendering intermittently fails if DRI or composite is enabled

2009-07-22 Thread Pontus Freyhult
Is this with a Mac Mini or some other system? It seems (although I
haven't determined it well enough to bother writing a comment here
before) that if the connected display is without power for an extended
period of time (seems to be a couple of days or so), it causes my Mini
to lock up.

[Bug 259878] Re: Please support EEEPC 901 Variant of the ALC269 snd_hda_intel

2008-09-30 Thread Pontus Freyhult
Seems to have been a problem between keyboard and chair - upon reverting
to the very same patched 1.0.17 that I previously tried, doing (as far
as I know) the same thing as earlier, I can now record from the mic
without problems.

[Bug 259878] Re: Please support EEEPC 901 Variant of the ALC269 snd_hda_intel

2008-09-30 Thread Pontus Freyhult
I'm somewhat confused. With an up to date intrepid (2.6.27-4-generic),
sound works except for the built-in microphone.

If I get alsa-source, patch with and use that, I get the
extra mixer channels, but I still only manage to get static, just like
.

Interesting enough, if I get 1.0.18rc3 from alsa-project.org () and use
that, I don't get those extra mixer channels - and the mic still doesn't
work.

[Bug 226272] Re: X video rendering intermittently fails

2008-05-29 Thread Pontus Freyhult
Turns out I didn't make friends with 915resolution, so I went back to
the intel driver. But I actually have some good news to report.

After sticking a

Option "DRI" "false"

in my device section, everything works as a charm. Both the flashes and
the complete stop of rendering are gone. Of course DRI's disabled, but
that's not a problem for me (might of course be an issue for those
relying on 3d graphics, for others, this should be a suitable
workaround).

[Bug 226272] Re: X video rendering intermittently fails

2008-05-19 Thread Pontus Freyhult
I experience the same problems on a similar setup (Intel Mac mini with a
945, visual effects set to normal).

However, for me, it seems to happen much quicker (at least once a day),
without running any VMs. As far as graphical applications go, I run only
(in addition to a standard gnome desktop with some applets enabled)
gnome-terminal, Psi, Thunderbird, Firefox and GNU Emacs.

I've resorted to i810 usage for the moment, but would be happy to test
anything that might improve the situation.

(I'm also pretty sure this is a new issue since 7.10.)

already be included upstream in 0.8.7.

2007-09-26 Thread Pontus Freyhult
This seems to be a duplicate of #143979. I've also reported it as
upstream bug 464362
(), but I now think
it's specific to Ubuntu Gutsy.

I guess it shouldn't be that hard to figure out what's happening for
someone who knows what's happened with the libraries between Feisty and
Gutsy.

[Bug 132464] Re: Trying to use radio gives a non fatal exception in banshee (depends on libtotem-plparser.so.1)

Fresh install. You can play the stream and here sounds? Do you have a
libtotem-plparser.so.1? (seems to exist when I check a feisty
installation).

I'm not sure how different engines correlate to this.

[Bug 132464] Trying to use radio gives a non fatal exception in banshee (depends on libtotem-plparser.so.1)

2007-08-14 Thread Pontus Freyhult
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: banshee

When I try to use Banshees radio feature to listen to mms://sr-
wm.qbrick.com/02038_SR-P1-High, nothing happens in banshee. On the
console I get

Unhandled Exception: System.TypeInitializationException: An exception was thrown
by the type initializer for TotemPlParser.Parser --->
System.DllNotFoundException: totem-plparser.so.1
  at (wrapper managed-to-native) TotemPlParser.Parser:totem_pl_parser_get_type
()
  at TotemPlParser.Parser.get_GType () [0x0]
  at GtkSharp.TotemplparserSharp.ObjectManager.Initialize () [0x0]
at TotemPlParser.Parser..cctor () [0x0] --- End of inner exception stack

  at Banshee.Plugins.Radio.RadioTrackInfo.LoadStreamUris () [0x0]
  at
Banshee.Plugins.Radio.RadioTrackInfo+<>c__CompilerGenerated3.<>c__AnonymousMethod19
 () [0x0]
  at (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void ()

Banshee explicitly tries to load totem-plparser.so.1 (which will lead to
mono trying to load libtotem-plparser.so.1) in
src/Plugins/Banshee.Plugins.Radio/totem-plparser/Parser.cs, but it's not
provided by the package containing libtotem-plparser.so

If I do

ln -s /usr/lib/libtotem-plparser.so /usr/lib/libtotem-plparser.so.1

everything works fine.

libtotem-plparser7 provides /usr/lib/libtotem-plparser.so with friends,
but no /usr/lib/libtotem-plparser.so.1.
