[Bug 1419439] Re: Screen freeze when watching video in VLC
This is not a bug in VLC, it just triggers the code path within ther kernel which causes the issue. Looking at the kernel OOPS it can be confirmed that the problem is within the kernel (intel graphics driver code). Please change the package back to Linux from VLC. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1419439 Title: Screen freeze when watching video in VLC To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1419439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1419439] [NEW] Screen freeze when watching video in VLC
Public bug reported: Screen freezes when I watch video in VLC media player. Moving mouse is of no use and Ctrl + Alt + T short cut does not launch terminal. But I Could hear the audio even after screen freeze. If I press Ctrl + Alt + F1 and wait for several minutes switches to console. Then switching to GUI brings back the screen and I am able to work as usual. [Bug 847001] Re: Adjusting display brightness is very slow on several Dell laptops
Updated from Ubuntu 13.10 to 14.04. Keyboard input is sluggish. When typing one letter appears after I type the next one. While changing brightness using fn + brightness key notification appears but the brightness change after a long time or does not change at all. I am using a Lenovo ThinkPad L430. Note: I did not have any such problem with Ubuntu 13.10 or previous version in the same laptop. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/847001 Title: Adjusting display brightness is very slow on several Dell laptops To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/847001/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1108731] Re: libwebp.pc is not included in libwebp-dev package
I created a libwebp.pc file (modified libwebp.pc.in by hand) as I needed that. I have attached the same with this bug. [Bug 1108731] [NEW] libwebp.pc is not included in libwebp-dev package
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 12.10 libwebp-dev package libwebp.pc file is not included. This file is used to determine the include files and libraries required to use by applications that plan to use libwebp. As it is not included it is not possible for other applications to determine the presence of libwebp in the system and makes it unusable. Each dev package must have a .pc file so that application that rely on them will detect them automatically while configuring - this defeats the very purpose of having the libwebp-dev package. The same is true for Ubuntu 11.10's libwebp-dev package. I have not checked the Ubuntu 12.04's libwebp-dev package. ** Affects: libwebp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1108731 Title: libwebp.pc is not included in libwebp-dev package To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libwebp/+bug/1108731/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 901815] [NEW] Random image getting rendered in intel i945G graphics card
Public bug reported: Random image is rendered when I am doing normal work (like reading documents, web surfing, etc) with gnome 3 running. I am using ubuntu 11.10 64bit version. When I run gnome 2 (ubuntu classic without effects) no artifacts are there. When running gnome 2 (with compiz enabled) I am getting similar effects. Guess this to be related to OpenGL Mesa package. I am having a Intel 82945G/GZ graphics card. Mine is a fresh installation of ubuntu 11.10. My system is up to date. I guess it is because of OpenGL driver (mesa) as running gnome3 (mutter) also has the same effect. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/901815 Title: Random image getting rendered in intel i945G graphics card To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/901815/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
