[Bug 331448] Re: gdm shows tool-tip on mouseover

Bug #331448 says this was fixed back in GDM 2.20.8, but it is happening for me as well. -- Mouse pointer/cursor misplaced on the login screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/488198 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 331448] Re: gdm shows tool-tip on mouseover
I just did a fresh installation of karmic, upgraded all my packages, and I have gdm 2.28.1, yet this tool-tip still appears. [Bug 152651] bookmarksftp prevents toolbar bookmarks from appearing immediately
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mozilla-bookmarksftp When the bookmarksftp extension is enabled and a bookmark is added to the 'Bookmarks Toolbar Folder', that bookmark does not appear in the toolbar until Firefox is restarted. When the extension is not enabled, no restart is required. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install the bookmarksftp extension from the 'Get Ubuntu Add-ons' manager and restart Firefox to enable it. 2. Bookmark any website and add it to the 'Bookmarks Toolbar Folder' and see that the bookmark appears in the Bookmarks menu, but does not appear in the toolbar. 3. Restart firefox and see that the bookmark now appears in the toolbar. ** Affects: bookmarksftp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- bookmarksftp prevents toolbar bookmarks from appearing immediately https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/152651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 123064] Re: Upgrade to Eclipse 3.3
This is pretty trivial, but in my pursuit of desktop perfection, I'm a bit annoyed by the eclipse icon (icon.xpm file) that comes bundled in the precompiled version of Eclipse from Eclipse.org. Namely, it has a purple background around the Eclipse sphere instead of transparency. I recall getting an icon with a transparent background when I installed Eclipse 3.2 from the repository, and that's definitely the icon you get if you download the 3.3 Windows or Mac versions. What's extra strange is that I had Eclipse 3.3 running when I tried out the AWN dock recently, and the nicer icon magically appeared in the dock! Where did it come from, and why doesn't it look that way when I create a custom launcher for Eclipse with icon.xpm as the icon? -- Upgrade to Eclipse 3.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/123064 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 148221] Re: composite extension not enabled
Actually, an important clarification: I did install the ATI restricted driver after the fresh install, so that installation could have possibly disabled the Composite extension. [Bug 148221] composite extension not enabled
Public bug reported: In Gutsy 7.10 beta, after a fresh install, I experience three problems with changing the visual effects from None to another option: 1) A dialog box pops up reading "Composite extension not enabled." The dialog provides no automatic way or instructions to enable the composite extension. I thought Compiz/Beryl were enabled by default in Gutsy? I learned by searching the forums how to edit by xorg.conf file to do so, but I would recommend this be automated, and I don't understand why it wasn't done by default. 2) Clicking 'OK' in that dialog box does not make it go away. It just pops up again immediately. To close it permanently, one has to click on the standard close button in the top right. The 'OK' button should trigger the dialog to close. 3) After closing the dialog, the Visual Effects radio button I chose that caused the dialog to appear is selected, even though those Visual Effects are not enabled. Closing the dialog should keep the Visual Effects selection where it was originally. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- composite extension not enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148221 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
