[Bug 1286945] [NEW] release upgrader skips releases on non-LTS upgrades
Public bug reported: I'm running Ubuntu 12.10. I want to upgrade my system to Ubuntu 13.04 and then to 13.10. This behaviour is against recommendations from the official Ubuntu documentation (only LTS -> LTS+1 upgrade-skips are supported). [Bug 938210] [NEW] apport-gtk doesn't show the window for entering password
Public bug reported: Apport-gtk fails to collect data as normal user when root/sudo password is not cached. When I run apport-collect for the first time after I logged in, apport hangs on collecting data and waits without end. When I press ctrl-C, a gksudo dialog shows asking me for my password, but when I enter it, nothing happens. When I run apport again, the situation repeats. When I run ps -fe |grep apport, it shows the following process: azrael 13673 1 0 22:38 ?00:00:00 /usr/bin/gksu --message Proszę wprowadzić hasło, aby uzyskać dostęp do raportów o problemach w systemie /usr/share/apport/apport-gtk When I press ctrl-C and run apport using sudo in the command line, I can finally collect the data for the bug, but sometimes it fails too. + --- + ApportVersion: 1.92-0ubuntu1 + Architecture: amd64 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Alpha amd64+mac (20120214) + Package: apport 1.92-0ubuntu1 + PackageArchitecture: all + ProcEnviron: + TERM=xterm + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-16.25-generic 3.2.6 + Tags: precise + Uname: Linux 3.2.0-16-generic x86_64 + UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) + UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/938210 Title: apport-gtk doesn't show the window for entering password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/938210/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
