+ On 8/15/2012 I updated ubuntu 12.10. Now when I try to log in the system
+ flashes a black screen and then puts me back at the log in screen.
+ Logging in as guest works. I tried adding a new user and cannot log in

  On 8/15/2012 I updated ubuntu 12.10. Now when I try to log in the system
  flashes a black screen and then puts me back at the log in screen.
- Logging in as guest works. I tried adding a new user and cannot log in
- with that user either.
