[Bug 1793202] Re: SIGILL on i386
What would be the best way to do that? Since this crash is in static initialization, we don't have the chance to add a check in main(). If we had a wrapper script that runs mixxx we could do it there, but I'm not sure that's the best way? It looks like since Artful, there is an i386 universe package called "sse2-support" https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/sse2-support that prevents installation if the user's CPU doesn't have SSE2. [Bug 1793202] Re: SIGILL on i386
This has been reported 75 times in the last year according to errors.ubuntu.com. Notably, almost all the CPUs do not have SSE2, and we build with SSE2. So that's (SSE2 instructions) probably where the SIGILL is coming from. The stack trace is in the static initialization phase right when mixxx starts up. Indeed and I agree but the bug when running on Perl v5.26 will need to be resolved first, by either a patch in the package or (preferably) a new upstream version that can handle running on that version of Perl. See also Debian bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=869994 Also; given a PPA to use, a backport of v3.08 or even of v3.25 could be made available for trusty at least for testing purposes. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #869994 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=869994 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1281329 Title: Sync up 14.04 release with latest avaiable version from project To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sql-ledger/+bug/1281329/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1537461] Re: Version 3.2 of SQL Ledger now available
This package was orphaned in Debian and I am looking at adopting it. As part of that, I have attempted to update the packaging to be for upstream v3.2.5, which resulted in the following new issues: 1) The existing latex-cmdline-option patch did not apply as is to the new upstream. That will need to be resolved in order to proceed. 2) More importantly; it results in a following new Lintian Error: E: sql-ledger source: source-is-missing js/calendar.js line length is 1212 characters (>512) - That 'js/calendar.js' file is also public domain, so besides resolving the 'source-is-missing' issue, the debian/copyright file will need to be updated for it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1537461 Title: Version 3.2 of SQL Ledger now available To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sql-ledger/+bug/1537461/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1638125] Re: USN-3109-1: MySQL vulnerabilities partially applies to MariaDB too
Regarding ironstorm's note in #21, we didn't realize our /var/lib/mysql folder was moved to /tmp/mysql-symlink-restore-forbvv/. Apparently a previous upgrade of mysql-5.7 left /var/lib/mysql-upgrade/ in place with a DATADIR symlink to 'mysql-5.7'. This confused mariadb- server-10.0.postinst [1] and triggered the "# this should never even happen, but just in case..." block. Neither ironstorm or I noticed that our /var/lib/mysql folder had been moved into /tmp, so we thought it had been lost. Glad to not have data loss, but pretty spooked. /tmp does not seem like a very good place for this since it could be automatically wiped. [Bug 1513691] Re: package ledgersmb 1.3.46-1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
As noted in DpkgTerminalLog.txt, this looks to be associated with the following error: apache2_reload: Your configuration is broken. Not reloading Apache 2 apache2_reload: AH00526: Syntax error on line 9 of /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/ledgersmb.conf: apache2_reload: Invalid command 'RewriteEngine', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration That line 9 is the "RewriteEngine On" line. That error might come up if the rewrite module wasn't enabled in apache, but this happened during an upgrade from v15.04 to v15.10, where apache and ledgersmb were apparently already installed and operational and therefore the rewrite module should already have been enabled in apache. [Bug 1289977] Re: Ubuntu 14.04 Update breaks grub, resulting in error: symbol 'grub_term_highlight_color' not found
Folks, I was bit by this today, turning my dual-bootable laptop into a brick. I tried a lot of things here and nothing worked. For me, the following worked: mount /dev/sda5 /mnt grub-install --root-directory=/mnt/ /dev/sda reboot which is close to some suggestions others made but those didn't work for me. Obviously you'd need to change the sda5 to whatever is appropriate for you. No, I have not made a typo above. There is no trailing number on the sda for the grub-install command. [Bug 1263233] Re: Mixxx crashes at scratching - floating point exception
Ah! I am using rubberband tip which is 3 commits past 1.8.1. This seems to be fixed in tip. I downgraded to the 1.8.1 tag and it crashed right away. [Bug 1263233] Re: Mixxx crashes at scratching - floating point exception
Oops, it's not actually fixed in RB tip. I just didn't know how to reproduce it fully. 1) Load track to deck. 2) Don't play / move yet. 3) Enable keylock. 4) Right click scratch forward. It looks like speeds of less than 0.00390625 (1/256) crash librubberband because it causes the input-increment variable to be 0 and there are a bunch of places in librubberband that code divided by the input increment. We had a similar MIN_SEEK_SPEED in SoundTouch so I could just add that workaround in.
