[Bug 1311316] Re: After locking screen there is no input field to type password for unlock
Not sure if this is important, but I can notice the following: if I switch to the second (or any other than me) logged user (Ctrl + Alt + F8), it works normally. I can, then, in second Xorg session, select my user from indicators and then log in. And, I'm not sure if this is related, but appears that all the times this happens, Unity dash launcher don't display icons for any application (see attached screenshot). ** Attachment added: "no_icons_at_dash.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1311316/+attachment/4924580/+files/no_icons_at_dash.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311316 Title: After locking screen there is no input field to type password for unlock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1311316/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1306695] [NEW] Not proper setup for xboxdrv
Public bug reported: In order to get xboxdrv properly working on Ubuntu 14.04, there are 2 missing setups: 1 - This package should remove xpad. Both should be not installed at the same time, so probably xboxdrv and xpad should be marked as conflict with each other. 2 - xboxdrv can work in 2 modes: (a) run in userspace: not too user friendly, as the user has to manually add each new controller (running it again); (b) xboxdrv can run at system start, on systemd. This way it'll run as daemon, always watching for new plugged controllers (preferable). In order to achieve (b), one startup script will be required. On 14.04 I created /etc/init/xboxdrv.conf with the following content: start on filesystem expect fork exec xboxdrv --detach-kernel-driver & Of course, my use of fork and & can be wrong, but is the way I found to get the service command working fine. [Bug 518056] Re: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c
My problem is: while using the US layout, the behavior is the same on Windows. To me, ok, but when, as you guys, I put other non-tech people using Ubuntu, it's a problem. On Windows, when I use US international, and I type '+c, I get ç. When I type '+I, I get "I'". So, I can type portuguese and US stuff (for programming) with no problem. But, as we're discussing here, the behavior is different on Ubuntu. Not sure if it's a bug, appears to be the Ubuntu way. Anyway, I changed this (I'm using 12.04 LTS). I did a bunch of stuff, not sure if all this is really required. Please, correct me I'm wrong or doing unnecessary steps. I used this .XCompose file in my home folder: http://www.raelcunha.com/.XCompose Then I included in my .bash_profile and .profile: export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim export QT_IM_MODULE=xim Then I asked to Ubuntu use xim: im-switch -s default-xim Then I installed ibus-table-compose: sudo apt-get install ibus-table-compose Then logout and login.
