[Bug 1667158] Re: Borders of pop-up windows are displayed badly

2017-02-24 Thread Raghu
Found a workaround here and works for now.
http://askubuntu.com/questions/883648/problem-with-latest-nvidia-drivers-375-39-and-378-13

Type-in "unity" from the terminal
$ unity

Believe, this should be done every time we reboot/suspend which is annoying.
OR
As suggested in the link, should revert to driver-367 which is from official
repository

Is there a way to stay with driver-375 and still resolve this ?

I see this exact same issue.
Everything was fine until I installed Compiz and Settings Manager for Compiz.
After enabling cube, I immediately got my windows stuck, unable to move them.

2009-11-04 Thread Raghu
 rm ~/.gnome2/keyrings/login.keyring

this worked for me too. Thanks.

 the restriction is not wanted, not sure what is going on there bug you
can choose to cache your ssh key in gnome-keyring in which case the ssh
agent will not to unblock the keyring to access it, I've not seen
command line prompts about those though

Thanks Sebastien. Do you think this bug is still incomplete?
 It is only a https:// access not a ssh access to the svn server.

Any good pointers to overview of Keyring in Ubuntu/Gnome would be
appreciated.

[Bug 437045] [NEW] Hardy Hangs with looping unregister_netdevice: waiting for ppp0 to become free. Usage count = 1 on console

2009-09-26 Thread raghu
Public bug reported:

It appears to be a deadlock problem with a net device not being able to
be released.

This happens when two pppoe connections are in use at the same time with an
ipsec tunnel using racoon.
Then, intermittently the server just hangs with the following looping message.

unregister_netdevice: waiting for ppp0 to become free. Usage count = 1

The only option is to reboot the server.

It's a regression bug and supposedly fixed in 2.6.24 series. But the
problem still persists.

To reproduce:

1. Two pppoe connections
2. Establish IP-sec tunnel with racoon
3. System defintly hangs after a while ( less then 24 hrs)

Also, the two connections are very unsteady which reults in lot of if ups/downs
which in a combination with the
ip-sec tunnel I suppose triggers the problem

2009-05-29 Thread raghu
Thank you for reporting the bug. I tried to reproduce it (configuration
below) and was able to successfully set the desktop background by
clicking on the popup (as you had described). Could you please provide
further details?

I think that the popup is part of Ubuntu and firefox is only invoking
the program. Try to save the image file and use the change desktop of
Ubuntu (Right click on desktop and change desktop background and choose
the downloaded image file). Please let me know if this works.

[Bug 371351] Re: Incorrect backspace key in the Default installation of firefox

2009-05-24 Thread raghu
This part of the code in the latest release of firefox defines it, I am
going to change the bug status, as it is not really a bug and only a
default behaviour.

Check this link for more details regarding this choice:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.backspace_action

In file $PATH_TO_INSTALLATION/mozilla/browser/app/profile/firefox.js

BEGIN(CODE)

// Backspace and Shift+Backspace behavior
// 0 goes Back/Forward
// 1 act like PgUp/PgDown
// 2 and other values, nothing
#ifdef UNIX_BUT_NOT_MAC
pref(browser.backspace_action, 2);
#else
pref(browser.backspace_action, 0);
#endif

times. But haven't seen a blank screen though.

[Bug 311895] Re: [i945] spontaneous black screen (major pipe-A underrun)

2009-01-28 Thread Raghu
Thanks for the info. I am trying out the config now. will see how it
works for multiple days. I was using VESA driver as the work around for
this issue.

Bryce, thanks for increasing priority. This affects a lot of users.

Looks like Assigned To field should change from 'freedesktop-bugs
#18651' to 'freedesktop-bugs #19304' since 19304 is not a duplicate of
18651 anymore.

[Bug 311895] Re: [i945] spontaneous black screen (major pipe-A underrun)

2009-01-23 Thread Raghu
Martin,

Can we have access to the package you built? I will try it out on my Eee
Box.

This is biggest problem I see with my ubuntu currently. I am used to not having
to reboot for months.
Thanks.

[Bug 311895] Re: [i945] spontaneous black screen (major pipe-A underrun)

2009-01-23 Thread Raghu
Martin,

I just saw your comment over at
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18651 that said the patch
does not fix the problem.

Are there less optimal work around for this? Will I be able to use a
generic driver that could be more stable? I don't need 3D performance.

thanks.
Raghu.

2009-01-16 Thread Raghu

I installed fresh Ubuntu 8.10 on EEE Box 202 (Atom, 945GME) couple of days back
and seeing the exact 'blank screen' problem with underrun on pipe A! errors.
Xorg log looks pretty much the same.
