I do have gsfonts installed, version 1:8.11+urwcyr1.0.7~pre44-4.5 . As noted, the font rendering is fine if I disable "browser.display.use_document_fonts". [Bug 1971608] [NEW] Firefox PDF font rendering is often messed up
Public bug reported: I don't know whether it is an ubuntu bug or a firefox bug but since I am running the mozilla-supported ubuntu snap of firefox 99.0.1 (on 22.04 jammy) (firefox 100 not yet available on snap), posting it here. Many pdfs have messed-up fonts on this firefox. Following a reddit thread, I tried disabling browser.display.use_document_fonts in about:config. Then the pdfs render correctly, but html webpages have messed-up fonts. Reddit post with screenshots and sample URL here; previous reddit thread linked therein. https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/uhz6d1/continued_messedup_font_rendering_in_firefox_pdf/ Others (on this and previous thread) report it doesn't happen on other platforms. On this thread, someone confirms it on a Ubuntu VM, and someone else says it doesn't happen on Mint (based on Ubuntu but I think doesn't use snaps). ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1971608 Title: Firefox PDF font rendering is often messed up To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1971608/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Hi, I am working on Ubuntu server 20.04 with network manager snap and wireguard. I can bring up wireguard interface using: sudo wg-quick up I can also bring it down with wg-quick down The netplan.io then, creates a yaml in /etc/netplan When this inerface is deleted, this netplan is not removed. Also, when i reboot, when i run: sudo wg-quick up the netplan creates a new yaml file with a different uuid, instead of recogonising it already exists. [Bug 1918847] [NEW] Using Wacom stylus on screen causes system lockup
Public bug reported: Machine: Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga L13 model 20R5S02B00 Description:Ubuntu Hirsute Hippo (development branch) Release:21.04 On current hirsute, using 5.10.0-14-generic or 5.10.0-14-lowlatency, bringing the included Wacom pen to the screen causes an instant lockup. There is no solution except hard power off. It is 100% reproducible. The last message in syslog before this freeze / force reboot seems to be "rfkill: input handler enabled". This doesn't happen with upstream kernel 5.11.0-051100-generic or with the 5.8 kernel 5.8.0-44-generic from groovy. I am happy to give further information. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: hirsute -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918847 Title: Using Wacom stylus on screen causes system lockup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1918847/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1896637] Re: [Lenovo v310-15ISK] System booting is too slow. Application like chrome, spotify, Libre Office, etc open too slow.
After running this command sudo grep -r thermal-conf.xml /etc, nothing will happened. But there is a file named thermal-cpu-cdev-order.xml. This file is to be remove? I used Ubuntu 18.04 LTS in past, this version were faster than Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I also change the default swappiness value(60) to 5 because it consumes too much swap memory during copying any large file from flash disk or any other devices to laptop and vice versa. During copying files, RAM is available but it still used swap memory. But before changing swappiness value, this version(20.04LTS) always perform slower than 18.04LTS. There is sometimes shows some firmware missing during boot. I used legacy first boot method to install Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. My motherboard supports both Legacy First and UEFI method. And there is always shows some error on every booting such as 'Sorry, Ubuntu 20.04 experience an internal error' and 'System program problem detected'. I were very few experiencing such error in Ubuntu 18.04LTS. There is no 'tlp' installed in my system. Thank you sir! I'm affected by this bug. I tried the patched kernel posted by jsalisbury above (including modules and headers packages), but it boots in low-res mode (640x480 -- should be 1920x1080), and glxinfo shows the vendor as VMware and device as llvmpipe (should be Intel and Mesa).
