OK this worked.i deleted all the .compiz and .compiz1 folders from inside the .config file and also the .compiz folder in home. I tested with this latest versions but still the same. Also what is this font size you mention about? Is is something adjustable by end user? I have my adsl router without the link light (it dies occasionally) but the network icon still shows connected signal. Windows 7 catches it in seconds every time.I can say this because i have a very bad quality line which keeps going off . I tested with the unity daily ppa and i did not have compiz on boot and was dropped to classic desktop.Manually typing compiz --replace in terminal made unity appear but i also had the gnome panel at the bottom. Well, the whole point of this bug report is about using these games with pulseaudio running and being used. Most suggestions here either talk of disabling pulseaudio or using pure alsa to run it, each of which works fine . Sorry false alarm. The driver from the xswat ppa hasnt been enabled yet on my system, it was using the open source driver hence it was working. Hi You need to run tthe command sensors-detect first, and answer the yes/no questions. After that on reboot, run the command sensors and it should display a lot of values which means your modules are loaded. Then try pwmconfig and try. m44miri, you can try the command sudo pwmconfig to check fan and set speeds. I did the same because my desktop cpu fan was running too fast, and i just set min and max temps range for fan and it was fixed. Hi I solved this problem by changing the dvd/cd drive from slave to master by setting the jumper.You need to physically remove the drive and set the jumper to master.
