[Bug 1747340] Re: flickering graphics with intel gfx card

2018-06-11 Thread Ralf Meyer
Hi Patrick,

it went like this:
- GUI ok
- black screen
and so on in quick succession.

Happened only after suspend to RAM.

I have a fresh installtion of Ubuntu 16.04 for some weeks now and
haven't seen this happening since.

Yours sound different so I think you should open a new bugreport.
And I close this one.

I cannot see any Bluetooth devices is the output.

One thing you could do:
1. run lsusb
2. press the Bluetooth button
3. run lsusb and compare with the output above.

If it changes (something that looks like a Bluetooth device) then try
running hcitool dev and hcitool scan again.

If not then I am running out of ideas.

[Bug 109151] no hibernate with uswsusp installed

2007-04-22 Thread Ralf Meyer
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu version: 7.04
ii uswsusp 0.3~cvs20060928-6ubuntu3 tools to use userspace
software suspend provided by Linux
ii acpi-support 0.95 a collection of useful
events for acpi

I have upgraded Ubuntu from 6.10 to 7.04. Hibernate doesn't work out of the
box. The problem seems to be this (from /etc/acpi/hibernate.sh):
---
if [ -f /etc/usplash.conf ]; then
. /etc/usplash.conf
/sbin/s2disk -x $xres -y $yres $DEVICE
 ---
s2disk is called with -x and -y parameters which s2disk doesn't like.
