[Bug 463735] Re: Ubuntu Karmic Regression: No Multi-Touch Touchpad Functionality on Asus Eee PC 1000HA
If you have an ALPS or other touchpad that isn't hardware multitouch capable, there is a problem with a default setting in hal. That's the minimum two finger width, but ALPS touchpads don't detect width. I have an HP dv4 notebook and solved this after creating the 11-x11-synaptics.fdi file in /etc/hal/fdi/policy and adding the input.x11_options.EmulateTwoFingerMinW option setting it to zero. The default is 7. [Bug 449672] Re: Annoying buzzing sound from speakers when nothing is playing
I'm on a HP dv4 laptop and have the same problem after beta update. Iǘe been looking up the issue in some forums and it looks like it affects quite a few people. The sad thing is that I could not for the life of me make my sound work correctly in jaunty, and it worked out of the box all the way back in karmic alpha 3... Now it's broke again The buzzing sound is really annoying and the internal mic stopped working. lspci | grep audio 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) 01:05.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc RS780 Azalia controller lsmod | grep snd snd_hda_codec_atihdmi 4320 1 snd_hda_codec_idt 72976 1 snd_seq_dummy 3460 0 snd_hda_intel 31880 4 snd_hda_codec 87584 3 snd_hda_codec_atihdmi,snd_hda_codec_idt,snd_hda_intel snd_hwdep 9352 1 snd_hda_codec snd_pcm_oss44704 0 snd_mixer_oss 18976 1 snd_pcm_oss snd_seq_oss33440 0 snd_pcm93160 4 snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_pcm_oss snd_seq_midi8192 0 snd_rawmidi27360 1 snd_seq_midi snd_seq_midi_event 8448 2 snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi snd_seq60608 6 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_seq_midi_event snd_timer 26992 2 snd_pcm,snd_seq snd_seq_device 8308 5 snd_seq_dummy,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq_midi,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq snd77096 19 snd_hda_codec_idt,snd_hda_intel,snd_hda_codec,snd_hwdep,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_seq_oss,snd_pcm,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq,snd_timer,snd_seq_device soundcore 9088 1 snd snd_page_alloc 10928 2 snd_hda_intel,snd_pcm -- Annoying buzzing sound from speakers when nothing is playing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449672 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 390145] Re: Wireless not working in Karmic Koala Alpha 2
Exactly same behavior on Kubuntu, alpha 3 and alpha 4. I upgraded from 9.04 and lost wireless connections, but the button did turn wireless on and off (with no response from knetworkmanager though). A clean install with alpha 4 produced the same results as repoted by other people here and in forums. hardware: HP dv4-1225dx 09:00.0 Network controller [0280] : Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g (rev 01) (14e4:4315) -- Wireless not working in Karmic Koala Alpha 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/390145 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
