[Bug 1812097] Re: [nfs-common 1:1.3.4-2.1ubuntu5] /lib/systemd/system/nfs-common.service linked to /dev/null

2019-01-16 Thread Raptor 2101
Thanks for the answer and sorroy for the bug.

Is it intendet to start rpc_gssd, idmapd manually (systemctl
enable/start ...)? Are rhe options in /etc/default/nfs-common somehow
evaluated?

That should stated somewhere here
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NFSv4Howto.

After the installation i was unable to mount a Kerberos Secured NFS
Share.

[Bug 1812097] [NEW] [nfs-common 1:1.3.4-2.1ubuntu5] /lib/systemd/system/nfs-common.service linked to /dev/null

2019-01-16 Thread Raptor 2101
Public bug reported:

After a clean install of nfs-common 1:1.3.4-2.1ubuntu5 the systemd
config /lib/systemd/system/nfs-common.service linked to /dev/null.

This renders the init-script /etc/init.d/nfs-common useless.
No message, nore some hint is printed. Deleting the linked .service enables the
init script an get NFS mounts available

[Bug 559557] Re: bluetooth keyboards uses the wrong keyboard layout

2010-10-07 Thread Raptor 2101
I'am setup 10.04 (Kubuntu/Ubuntu current beta release). Both handled the
Logitech-Dongle the same way - as a simple USB-Keyboard without any BT-
functionality. So i connected a seperate BT-Dongle and disconnect the
Logitech on. After pairing the Keyboard, I suffer the same problem
again, the keyboard uses the wrong layout (en instead of de) (Both
versions).

Interesting: while the BT-Keyboard was connected and uses the wrong
layout, I connected my emergency-USB-Keyboard (after the update to
10.04 I know why I need one ;) ) and suddenly both keyboards uses the
correct layout. After I disconnect the USB-Keyboard, it's persist. It
seams there is a rule, who apply the standard layout but these aren't
fired if a bt-keyboard is connected

[Bug 619361] [NEW] dmraid fails to handle status set by ICH10R Bios

2010-08-17 Thread Raptor 2101
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: dmraid

While exchanging a damaged Disk (some SMART-values recommended it) i
suffer a strange bug. Cause of a needed reboot i used the BIOS built-
in functionality to add the new disk to my RAID0. After booting all
works fine (hidden IO from the leading disk to the new disk), except one
thing. dmraid -s show me a status named nosync:

*** Group superset isw_bjcjahbjci
-- Active Subset
name : isw_bjcjahbjci_system
size : 488390912
stride : 128
type : mirror
status : nosync
subsets: 0
devs : 2
spares : 0

After a half hour, the IO disappear and the RAID is in sync (checked it,
with booting from the new disk only attached to the PC) but the status
from the RAID still remains on nosync. After forcing the raid to
rebuild via dmraid (dmraid -R isw_bjcjahbjci_system) the status jumps
immediately to ok, but the background IO appears again an syncing the
raid again.

Both behaviors are strange. dmraid should report the correct status. If
a raid is rebuilding, it shouldn't reported as ok and if the
rebuilding is done it should report as ok.

No messages regarding dmraid appear in syslog neither in dmesg.

version:1.0.0.rc16-3ubuntu2

[Bug 559557] [NEW] bluetooth keyboards uses the wrong keyboard layout

2010-04-09 Thread Raptor 2101
Public bug reported:

While using bluetooth i'am unable to set the default keyboard layout. My
default keyboard-layout is set to DE. All keyboards connected to USB or
PS2 uses this default layout.

My Dinovo edge connected via bluetooth uses the us-layout. thats
confusing, cause if a bluetooth and a usb device is connected at the
same time uses different keyboard-layouts.

How to set the default layout for bluetooth - keyboards?

[Bug 556057] Re: 10.4 Bluetooth Keyboard Logitech diNovo stopped working

I think its a duplicate of this bug (bug: 551816
-https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/551816)

you have to pair your keyboard. While pairing you are asked to give a
password. Enter random 4 digits. Press the connect button in you app.
Then enter the 4 digits on your dinovo edge and press enter to confirm.

i wrote this lines with a dinovo edge on 10.04, with exactly the same
problems, so don't lose hope ;)

[Bug 555636] [NEW] GRUB2 install Target unchangeable

2010-04-05 Thread Raptor 2101
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I've installed ubuntu on a system with two hard disk present. An old but
huge IDE - disk and a fast sata2 disk. The IDE disk is mapped to sda and
the sata2 disk is mapped to sdb.

Expectably i installed my OS to the sdb(sata2) drive. I setup two
partitions (ext3 and swapped) with no specialities. All grub2 files are
installed correctly to {/dev/sdb1}/boot but the Boot-loader is written
to sda. There is a drop-down-box at the and of the installer but there
is only sda a chooseable target.

So after the installation you have to reboot from the install cd, start
the live-system and setup grub2 manually via grub-install /dev/sdb.

After the reboot the bootloader works correctly

[Bug 555660] [NEW] NVidia driver brokes the keybord layout

2010-04-05 Thread Raptor 2101
Public bug reported:

I run a kubuntu 10.04 with a german setup (keylayout, textes etc). After
installing the proprietary driver the key-layout is changed to us-
standard layout . This is the small problem, the big problem is, I
don't know how to revert this.

Regarding to my xorg-logfile (attachment) the german layout is loaded,
but everywhere in the the system(login-screen, workspaces,...) the us-
layout is used. After the login I have to run setxkbmap -model pc105
-layout de -variant basic to get back the right layout. Surprisingly in
the console (eg. ctrl-alt-f1), the german layout is used.

the layout-modification trough the KDE-subsystem is disabled.

[Bug 551816] Re: Lynx no longer works with my logitech dinovo bluetooth mouse and keyboard

2010-04-05 Thread Raptor 2101
The Dinovo Edge works with lucid but in a different way. The dinovo
dongle is now a fully usable BT-Dongle. The bad side, you have to pair
your devices.

First you must login, therefore you need a second keyboard. Press the
connect button on the backside of the keyboard. Now you can start the
pairing trough your bluetooth-manager. Give a random choosen 4 digit
keyword for the pairing. After connecting the keyboard, enter this 4
digits on the keyboard and press enter. Now your keyboard should work as
before.

How to login without a second keyboard is the problem...

mounted my homedirs via CIFS. All works fine (servernio to get KDE-apps
working). After this update i noticed some extrem file errors while
using Opera (HD-Cache enabled) and Firefox. Trying to download something
always causes a damaged file. Every large file ( 500kb) results in a
damaged file.

If i switch from servernio to directio. Firefox and Opera works fine,
now javaws, skype and some other apps craches cause of file corruption.

But copying files from or to some normal mounts works perfectly.
