[Bug 671851] Re: Totem causes "raw EDID" with MKV files

2010-11-09 Thread Reda Lazri (rAX)
Unfortunately, I deleted that file, so I can't test it again. but the
last two times it happed with Totem. I opened it in Windows and it seems
that it is a flash video with an mkv ext.

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

I get a "monitor unknown" issue with max resolution 1024x768 as soon as
I open an .MKV video in totem, didn't happen with flash videos nor .AVI,
and haven't test it with the rest of formats.

Here's the "sudo dmesg"

[Bug 495210] Re: Scribus(-ng) is causing stuck pixels in my LCD screen.

2009-12-11 Thread Reda Lazri (rAX)
I knew it, someone has to mark this invalid. My LCD is fine, It only
happens when I launch Scribus, I work with Graphics applications all the
time, and Scribus is the only program causing this.

[Bug 495210] [NEW] Scribus(-ng) is causing stuck pixels in my LCD screen.

2009-12-10 Thread Reda Lazri (rAX)
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: scribus-ng

Hello, I know this may sound crazy, but I'm sure Scribus IS the cause, I
first tried Scribus months ago, and I saw my first stuck pixel, I
thought OK, it's normal, I got it fixed no problem. Then I installed
Scribus-ng because I thought it supports Arabic, and got my second stuck
pixel, after thinking about it, I remembered that it's the second time
it happens after launching Scribus, so I decided to test the theory. I
started it next morning to find a stuck pixel for the third time, all I
did after that is: "sudo aptitude purge -y scribus scribus-ng".

Maybe the problem is with the color management system.

Please fix the problems and add support for arabic.

P.S.: Please don't ask me to post a picture or do a test again, I wont
risk my only screen, sorry.

[Bug 456400] Re: (karmic) can not connect to DSL either system wide or local setting

2009-11-04 Thread Reda Lazri (rAX)
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 432205 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432205

I managed to fix the problem by adding some PPA, I even started helping
people, now after an update I'm stuck again in the same problem, and
"pon" doesn't work either, are we using a beta or a final release? I
really need someone to yell at right now!!!
