[Bug 428884] Re: gnome-screensaver-command --poke no longer inhibits screensaver

2009-12-12 Thread Reddox
You could also just add the inhibitor applet to the gnome-panel..

[Bug 430515] Re: Should do 'sudo alsa force-reload' after boot or reboot to make sound works

2009-12-10 Thread Reddox
On my HP tablet with intel hda card, deactivating the smartlink driver
and then reloading alsa solved sound issue. I installed karmic last week
on it..worked fine for 2 days then no audio..i recomplied alsa
drivers..worked for 2 days and again no sound).

I have deactivated the driver. If it stops working again, will uninstall it.
How do I use the modem btw..its a proprietary driver right..no o/s driver
available..

[Bug 490035] [NEW] BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at (null)

2009-11-29 Thread Reddox
Public bug reported:

Just installed ubuntu on this HP laptop. Wifi wasnt working ("device not
ready"). Opened Hardware drivers and tried activating the non-free drivers for
the broadcom wifi.
Rebooted. Clicked on network manager icon...wifi no longer said "device not
ready". Instead, it was "disconnected". It was here that this bug came up.
Something crashed.
