I've compiled a custom kernel ( 2.6.24rc1 with git12 patch). Oddly enough the brightness keys are working now with lure's packages. [Bug 146141] Fn keys for brightness don't work, while brightness applet do.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: acpi-support My laptop is Hp (dv6328) using Gutsy/amd64. In Feisty, all Fn keys are working well while in Gutsy only Brightness keys (Fn + f8 or f7 ) don't. Nevertheless, I can adjust the brightness level using kde-power-manager. [Bug 52282] Crashed due to apt setup

Everything went smoothly till the installer got stucked at apt setup. I tried to list the current running processes and I saw wget among them. I am not connected to the internet and I need an extra package (pptp-linux) to install in order to connect to the internet.
