[Bug 1708258] [NEW] Download dialog shows three download statuses
Public bug reported: When downloading something, it will show three identical download status for one item. It seems to be purely cosmetic, everything works fine. Even the download drop down menu shows the same three download statuses causing the dialog boxes to appear quite bloated. [Bug 424655] Re: using module-udev-detect leaks memory
Ok, I know my last post was redundant and I reread the forum. I found a little catch in the memory leak. Opening up the system monitor and I killed pulseaudio. Then I stopped it and closed all my programs. I returned to it after a while and turned it back on and it is no longer climbing in memory. It's sustaining the 3.5 mb where I left it after turning it off. [Bug 424655] Re: using module-udev-detect leaks memory
The issue with pulseaudio seems to become clear if you look at its memory maps. It keeps pulling the same files into memory over and over and over again. ... /usr/lib/pulse-0.9.19/modules/module-udev-detect.so I wonder if what udev is doing is auto-remounting the sound card forcing pulseaudio to reload the same files into memory again and again. [Bug 247615] [NEW] Closing firefox3 causes the WHOLE Operating System to come to a halt.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 Upon closing FF3, the whole operating system comes to a halt. The only functioning App is the little system monitor app. Firefox3 seems to cause instability to the whole OS. I have to reboot this laptop more than I had to reboot XP. I've reinstalled Ubuntu three times now. Even the 8.04.1 LTS version. I just can't seem to fix it myself. It's definitely a major bug. And I tried to find a similar bug to subscribe to, but they all have symptoms to this one. The general FF3 symptoms: Closing it the first time. Leave FF3 running. Go into system monitor to end the process. Closing it the second time and ending the process stops it from reloading it again. Often it causes everything to freeze. If it doesn't freeze the whole OS at this point, an attempt at opening again will. I hate, I repeat, I hate rebooting my computers. I can't even keep firefox running for a few hours. I know the bug fixers are busy, but why is FF3 having so many issues?
