Public bug reported: I have auto-download updates enabled by default, and I noticed one update was downloaded automatically, but I didn't want the device to update itself, as I was changing the system for development purposes. After calling 'adb reboot recovery', it automatically flashed the new image (that was cached), even though I had never asked that. I don't think we should be automatically hooking up the auto-flash when you run recover, unless the user accepts that (as it can cause all sorts of issues when you're changing the base system). [Bug 1380567] Re: Music plays through device's loudspeaker when incoming call received with BT headset connected
We don't yet support inband ringtone for BT headsets, so it's expected for the ringtone to play through the device's loudspeaker. Also, even when that gets supported, it's still the desired behaviour to also play on the device's loudspeaker, together with wired/bt headset (which is not yet the case). [Bug 1373404] Re: No warning of high volume level
One easy way in the indicator to know if the active port a headphone/headset: http://paste.ubuntu.com/8556022/ I think we should do the following: 1 - Check if the active port is headset; 2 - If headset, see if the volume for the multimedia role is higher than 75%. If higher, change it to 75% (this is basically what is done on Android). This check can be done once at every reboot (or every time someone plugs a headphone/headset). 3 - When changing volume for the multimedia role, warn the user if higher than 75%. You can also do the same for the other roles, but generally we are only concerned with multimedia. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1373404 Title: No warning of high volume level To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/indicator-sound/+bug/1373404/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1379840] Re: corrupted QML cache for messaging app makes it crash at startup
The issue at hand is a wrong assumption done by the cache loader that if the changes to the source files are minimal, a single recompile of the changed files is enough. This has proven to be not true, instead, a full recompilation needs to happen as the QML meta tree might have changed in ways that could cause weird application behaviour, or outright crashes. The solution is: 1. Invalidate the full cache if any of the source files has been changed, and recompile in full. 2. If an application crashes during startup, wipe its cache to increase stability. ** Changed in: qtdeclarative-opensource-src (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Ricardo Mendoza (ricmm) ** Changed in: qtdeclarative-opensource-src (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Critical ** Changed in: qtdeclarative-opensource-src (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1379840 Title: corrupted QML cache for messaging app makes it crash at startup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qtdeclarative-opensource-src/+bug/1379840/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1361617] Re: DTMF tones when dialing use wrong speaker
That all depends on the volume you set for the alert role (the default one). If you compare with Android, the max level is similar, but only if your main volume is at 100% (alert in our case). By default DTMF is using 10% of the alert volume, so it's only loud if you let the alert at such high level. ** Changed in: tone-generator (Ubuntu) Status: New = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1361617 Title: DTMF tones when dialing use wrong speaker To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tone-generator/+bug/1361617/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1378920] Re: Synchronous sound notifications pause video
The ideal here is changing the indicator to give us a hint about the current active role, and only play the notification sound when the active role is 'alert'. [Bug 1378397] Re: video thumbnails are not generated for some divx files
From Alfonso Sanchez-Beato (alfonsosanchezbeato): I finally managed to play these files. Two pieces of information were not being passed to MTK OMX library: * Some codec specific data that was not being copied by libhybris downwards, although gstreamer was actually providing the data. * The suggested size for the input buffers is not provided by libhybris/gstreamer, so defaults are taken. It looks like the fact that the video is interleaved implies that bigger than normal input buffers are needed. I made a quick workaround that made a file play, but to solve this properly implies modifications to gstreamer that I am currently analysing. Android takes the input buffer size from the AVI header. From http://msdn.microsoft.com/en- us/library/windows/desktop/dd318180(v=vs.85).aspx : dwSuggestedBufferSize: Specifies the suggested buffer size for reading the file. Generally, this size should be large enough to contain the largest chunk in the file. If set to zero, or if it is too small, the playback software will have to reallocate memory during playback, which will reduce performance. For an interleaved file, the buffer size should be large enough to read an entire record, and not just a chunk. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1378397 Title: video thumbnails are not generated for some divx files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins-bad1.0/+bug/1378397/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1373412] [NEW] Find a way to move device specific apparmor rules into android/device tarball without breaking cache
Public bug reported: Currently we're still handling device specific apparmor rules in lxc- android-config, and the main reason is that we need such rules when generating the cache for apparmor (which happens when generating the rootfs). Moving the rules into the device tarball can cause timestamp issues if the cache is newer, as apparmor will never update the cache files with the device specific rules. ** Affects: android (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: lxc-android-config (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Confirmed ** Also affects: android (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: lxc-android-config (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Changed in: lxc-android-config (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1373412 Title: Find a way to move device specific apparmor rules into android/device tarball without breaking cache To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/android/+bug/1373412/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1363314] Re: Remove dependency of qtmultimedia on gst0.10
Why is this bug tagged for RTM? Removing the GST 0.10 dependency (and migrating to GST 1.0) seems to be a major effort and would also required a new upstream version from qtmultimedia. [Bug 1368436] Re: camera-app crashes after quickly opening and closing app
Yeah, even when hybris is actually working with a proper assert, that still causes a crash with an abort. The real fix here is in qtubuntu- camera, to make sure control is actually valid when using it. This is a race when shutting down the app, and seems to be easier to crash now that for some unknown reason the startup is a bit slower. ** Changed in: libhybris (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1368436 Title: camera-app crashes after quickly opening and closing app To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/camera-app/+bug/1368436/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Made a simple patch to avoid this crash, but it's now showing up a different one in libQt5QML, so this needs to be investigated by someone that knows the stack better than I do.
