[Bug 1495514] Re: Installation crashes (overriding existing 12.04)
Fixed by resetting the BIOS to default settings. ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1495514 Title: Installation crashes (overriding existing 12.04) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1495514/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1495514] Re: Installation crashes (overriding existing 12.04)
Actually I solved the issue: Using CDROM didn't work, running Memtest showed up many errors. But after resting the BIOS, installation was completed successful and even Memtest showed a single error. Obviously BIOS settings can make your system unstable. [Bug 210144] [NEW] [hardy] human-murine seems to be too big, e.g. the tabbar in firefox
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: human-theme Hello! In my opinion the Human-Murine theme is a great improvement of Ubuntu style. But some elements of these theme are too big - for instance the tab bar in Firefox, or tab bar in Eclipse IDE. I use an screen resolution of 1280x1024, and comfortable working with eclipse doesn't work - but my monitor (19'') doesn't offer a higher screen resolution. Furthermore Ubuntu Hardy will be used on EEE-PCs with lowest resolutions and I think this absolutely not fun. Its important to have a clear and usefully GUI - but we are not blind! [Bug 34590] Re: DRI not Automatically Enabled for ATI Rage Mobility P/M - Mach64
Hello! After many hours of trying to compile the mach64 driver, I am a bit disappointed because I CANT compile it and because this driver isn't shipped with Ubuntu. I am using Ubuntu since Warty successfully on my Desktop. A few weeks ago, I bought an IBM Thinkpad X21, because of its great Linux support. And yes it works great, even not the direct rendering! Thats a shame! And I am not able to compile it (I have given hours away for this). Thanks, but I forget to say that I know how to fix (simply comment this lines). But the control mechanism to check for 3d-party entries and disable them didn't work with this sources. After commenting the two lines, dist-upgrade continued and promt: "There are third party lines..., they will be disabled during upgrade". It seems, that this function didn't work, if one of the sources is not avalible (404 Error).
