[Bug 484763] [NEW] Opening URL with left mouse button in XChat not working properly on Gnome

2009-11-18 Thread Riot777
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xchat

After upgrading Ubuntu 9.04 to Ubuntu 9.10 I have noticed that XChat
ability of opening links with left mouse button has stopped working with
my Gnome desktop. I also have noticed that XChat URL handling in general
works but you have to right click inside the program now and pick "Open
Link in Browser" from the menu. In Ubuntu 9.04 when I left-clicked on
URL inside XChat window, link was automatically opened in my Firefox
browser. I found XChat FAQ entry which is describing similar case:
http://xchat.org/faq/#q221 . I have checked all suggested steps in this
entry, but in fact I have all settings set properly, (/set gui_url_mod 0
and update-alternatives --config x-www-browser). I also issued xdg-open
command with random URL from terminal to make sure that xdg-open
function which is using XChat is working properly and it worked fine. I
also consulted with XChat developers but they couldn't help me and
suggested that something may be broken in XChat package provided by my
Linux distribution.

[Bug 441408] Re: [MASTER] Mouse jumps to bottom corner on click in fullscreen games. New mouses (A4Tech). Related to DGA / DGAMOUSE in SDL.

2009-11-15 Thread Riot777
For me: export SDL_VIDEO_X11_DGAMOUSE=0 fixes the problem partially
cause it take away the jumping problem but this leaves my mouse not
smooth, not like it was in Ubuntu 9.04. It make my mouse lag in games.
Please test if you got the same observations. I tested this issue on two
A4Tech mice A4Tech AK-47 and A4Tech X718 and had the same results. I
think something may be broken in the xorg package or sdl.

It looks like the first keyboard event/pushed button would be not pushed at all
so for example if I try to login as
"JohnDoe" I got only "ohnDoe" on my login screen. I also notice that at first
keyboard event numlock
keyboard light turns off itself. I have 32 bit AMD based system with PS/2
keyboard I can give some more infos if needed.
