[Bug 523852] [NEW] Network Manager applet is not allowing adding of openvpn connection

2010-02-18 Thread Rob Beazizo
Public bug reported:

Network Manager applet VPN Configure VPN tab page does not have the Add
button enabled even though network-manager-openvpn is installed.

Ubuntu Lucid 10.04

$ apt-cache policy network-manager-openvpn
network-manager-openvpn:
  Installed: 0.8~rc1-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 0.8~rc1-0ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 0.8~rc1-0ubuntu2 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com lucid/universe Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

To recreate:
- Make sure network-manager-openvpn package is installed
- Select VPN Connections-Configure VPN
- Add button is not enabled to create a new VPN connection

Additional info that might be useful:
$ cat /etc/NetworkManager/VPN/nm-openvpn-service.name

program=/usr/lib/network-manager-openvpn/nm-openvpn-service

[GNOME]
auth-dialog=/usr/lib/network-manager-openvpn/nm-openvpn-auth-dialog
properties=libnm-openvpn-properties

$ ls -lat /usr/lib/network-manager-openvpn

[Bug 342758] Re: [Hewlett-Packard HP HDX 18 Notebook PC] suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia]

2009-06-07 Thread Rob Beazizo
I applied the F.23A BIOS update today from HP and confirmed it fixed
these problems. Suspend and Hibernate both work flawlessly now.

[Bug 68578] Re: gnome-theme-manager hangs, stops updating UI

2006-10-29 Thread Rob Beazizo
Just an FYI, I had this same problem. I did an upgrade from Dapper to
Edgy as well.

I suspected that there was some incompatibility so I removed all themes
from my ~/.themes and /usr/share/themes and then reinstalled the ones I
cared about. This fixed the problem.
