[Bug 68578] Re: gnome-theme-manager hangs, stops updating UI
Just an FYI, I had this same problem. I did an upgrade from Dapper to Edgy as well. I suspected that there was some incompatibility so I removed all themes from my ~/.themes and /usr/share/themes and then reinstalled the ones I cared about.
