[Bug 1834951] [NEW] After logging in bluetooth is off and cannot be turned on
Public bug reported: Since upgrading to Ubuntu 19.04: After logging in, Bluetooth is turned off and yet quick settings in system tray still give me an option to turn it off (see the attached screenshot). After clicking "turn off" the option changes to "turn on", but clicking on "turn on" doesn't do anything. I can keep flipping between on and off and nothing happens. If I go to the full Bluetooth settings the same thing happens. Basically I can't turn the Bluetooth on at all. When I use the kill switch on my laptop (Purism Librem 13) Bluetooth settings correctly tell me there's no Bluetooth adapter on my laptop. When I flip the kill switch back and wait a few seconds I can turn the Bluetooth on and then it will work. In short - I have to kill and unkill Bluetooth for it to work. This was not an issue on the previous version of Ubuntu (18.10). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bluetooth ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from 2019-07-01 18-20-21.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1834951/+attachment/5274510/+files/Screenshot%20from%202019-07-01%2018-20-21.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1834951 Title: After logging in bluetooth is off and cannot be turned on To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1834951/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 267376] Re: [Request] OpenOffice.org 3.0 in Intrepid ibex release
So much for the "latest and greatest". It's a shame that such a significant upgrade won't make it to the final release. And a marketing gaffe, too. We've already lost A LOT due to the lack of new theme despite the promises. People ask me what's so exciting about Intrepid and I don't really know what to tell them anymore. I wouldn't mind if at least the backports repository actually had the latest software. Waiting 6 more months is daunting to say the least. Well, the good thing is there will always be PPAs to turn to for the a little bit more advanced users. So.. if you want Ubuntu to include the latest version of your software, cripple security updates for older versions. You'll be much more likely to get an exception next time. :) -- [Request] OpenOffice.org 3.0 in Intrepid ibex release https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267376 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 213053] Re: Totem is 'uninterruptible'
I can confirm this behavior. It happens randomly on my side. I can't really think of a way to trigger this. Right now totem sits in the background eating 100% of one of my cpu cores and has Uninterruptible status. Can't stop it, can't kill it. All I know is that it happens when I try to close it. [Bug 62535] Re: [edgy] network-manager sees usb wifi (rt73usb) as wired net
Actually, the driver for the card creates two network interfaces wlan0 and wmaster0. From the command line I use wlan0 to connect to networks, and wmaster0 seems kinda weird - I'd suppose it's an interface for setting up APs, but iwconfig doesn't even show mode for the interface (wlan0 is managed). This is what I get: wmaster0 IEEE 802.11g Frequency:2.412 GHz RTS thr:off Fragment thr=2346 B wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"" Mode:Managed Frequency:2.412 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated RTS thr:off Fragment thr=2346 B Encryption key:off So I guess wmaster0 is insignificant, but just so you know... And the other weird thing is there is no entry for my wlan0 card in the /proc/net/wireless file. The ath0 interface listed in the file is a different card (atheros) which works well with nm. Ok enough talking :-) Here goes wlan0.log... ** Attachment added: "ls -l /sys/class/net/wlan0" http://librarian.launchpad.net/4518978/wlan0.log -- [edgy] network-manager sees usb wifi (rt73usb) as wired net https://launchpad.net/bugs/62535 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 61523] It's too easy to select a menu item by accident
Public bug reported: This one is more on usability than on a specific software. I guess this could go to gtk toolkit, but I'm not sure. The problem is that it's easy to accidentaly choose some menu item from a context menu (and others, too). For example when you move your mouse across the desktop in down-right direction and you click right mouse button unwillingly. In nautilus it's usually just creating an empty folder, but sometimes it's something different and hard to track down and revert - the click is too fast to see what got activated. Some kind of solution to this would be to set a timer - say, a user has to hold the right mouse button for at least 100ms for the click to has any effect. I know that this is pretty rare and funky, but I know some people who would find this "feature" very helpful :-) This is just a little proposal, I'm not gonna cry if this gets rejected.. :-) but I think it's at least worth mentioning. cheers ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- It's too easy to select a menu item by accident https://launchpad.net/bugs/61523 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
