[Bug 1821534] [NEW] Ubuntu 18.04 stuck on lock screen after entering password

2019-03-24 Thread Robert Vertesi
Public bug reported:

It happened to me three times in the last couple of days, after a set of
updates.
If I leave my machine unattended for a while so it goes suspended, and I try to
log back in.
I hit a key so gdm password prompt comes back.
I type my password, hit enter.
Then there is no change anymore. The login screen stays up infinitely.
The cursor moves around.
Once I left a video paused. When I clicked, the sound of the video came back,
but no change on the screen. If I click again, the sound pauses, etc..
So it looks like I'm actually logged in but the screen stopped refreshing.
Ctrl+Alt+F... keys don't do anything.
I can kill off X with Ctrl+Alt+Bkspace (that I had enabled) and then I can log
in as usual.
I have no idea what log files etc. to have a look at.

[Bug 1699752] [NEW] Indicator menu filled up with ballast/multiplicate entries

2017-06-22 Thread Robert Vertesi
Public bug reported:

Recently more and more unusable entries showed up in the network manager
indicator.

The "New mobile broadband connection" entry is listed 4 times -four
lines each- and 4 specific GSM phones are listed that are not currently
around.

Currently I have 24 extra lines that I cant use for anything, they make
no use, I already have to scroll down at the bottom edge of the screen
to find the actual available connections.

(see the screenshot)

Release: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
network-manager-gnome: 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu4.5

I tried to delete all entries from
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/
but the culprits show up again after a reboot.
I also tried to purge and reinstall everything corresponding to the network
manager.

[Bug 995617] Re: OpenBVE crashes when launching 'Morden-Edgware via ChX' Northern Line route (ListView+ItemControl.ItemsMouseDown)

2017-05-03 Thread Robert Vertesi
Same here, Ubuntu 14.04. I found two workarounds:
- Click on the route but do not release the mouse button. While holding it,
pull the cursor away from the route name to the right so that the route remains
highlighted.
- Click on some empty space within the select route field, then navigate with
the arrows.

[Bug 1479524] Re: Totem Crashes at launch from missing libwayland-egl

2015-09-08 Thread Robert Vertesi
I am not sure this bug is fixed in 14.04.3. I have a (relatively) fresh
install that I brought up-to-date. I bumped into this bug after
gtkorphan removed libwayland-egl1-mesa-lts-vivid.
