[Bug 1022921] [NEW] Banshee ignores the last track of playlists/albums
Public bug reported: Package: banshee Architecture: amd64 Version: 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise1 If I select a playlist with 30 files, banshee will show 29 files instead, the last track is not shown nor played. Though the data is correctly reported in the statusbar (30 songs - 2 hours, 21 minutes, 17 seconds - 204.9 MB), the list view is missing the last file. The bug also happens when I view the whole library and pick an album with 20 tracks (only 19 are shown), and automatic and static playlists. It does not happen when the track list contains only a few files, it seems to be related to the scroll area. If the playlist fits in the screen without scrollbars, all tracks are displayed correctly, but when scrollbars are added, the last track is excluded from the list and not accesible. This happens on version 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise1 in Ubuntu 12.04, and also happens with older releases of banshee packages for 12.04. It was working correctly on previous Ubuntu releases, but I'm afraid I can't tell exactly when this bug was introduced. ** Affects: banshee (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1022921 Title: Banshee ignores the last track of playlists/albums To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/1022921/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1022921] Re: Banshee ignores the last track of playlists/albums
Starting with an empty database does not fix it, unfortunately. I've been doing some more tests: starting banshee in maximized state does not show the bug, so it is a workaround (looks quite ugly with a very high resolution monitor, but well...). Starting non-maximized losses the last track until the window, or just the playlist frame, is resized. The missing track magically appears when the UI is resized and everything works until I close and start banshee again. The last track can't be seen and can't be selected with mouse, but it *can* be played if I select it with the keyboard (selecting the last visible item, then arrow down and enter). So I guess it is a visualization issue in the scrolling area, the track seems to be there, just hidden. I wonder, if it's not reproducible in your banshee maybe something else may be corrupted here... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1022921 Title: Banshee ignores the last track of playlists/albums To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/1022921/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 881079] Re: FIXED: spurious Waiting up to 60 more seconds for network configuration message at startup, but all network devices are up
Please note there is a problem with removable network devices (usually usb). The file /etc/init/network-interface.conf causes network devices to be brought up or down as a result of hardware being added or removed, as its own comment says, but they must be configured as auto in /etc/network/interfaces (exec ifup --allow auto $INTERFACE), which will most likely cause the Waiting up to 60 more seconds for network configuration message at boot. For removable network devices, there should be a method of bringing them up and down correctly without requiring them to be plugged at boot. It was working on previous releases of Ubuntu, probably because there was no delay at boot for missing devices. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/881079 Title: FIXED: spurious Waiting up to 60 more seconds for network configuration message at startup, but all network devices are up To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/console-common/+bug/881079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 120687] Re: Caseless collate sequence in en_GB.UTF8
Of course it should go upstream, but I don't understand why it is outside the scope of Ubuntu to fix a problem for its users. Ubuntu choose Unity, a non-standard desktop environment, and refuses to choose a non-standard collate sequence (which provides actually more standard behaivior for many of its users that the upstream choice). I certainly can't understand the reasoning behind that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120687 Title: Caseless collate sequence in en_GB.UTF8 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 120687] Re: Caseless collate sequence in en_GB.UTF8
It is a problem for me too. And it is worse when using es_ES locale, because we can't use LC_COLLATE=C, it is very important to match accented characters in files and directories which LC_COLLATE=C does not do. This is ridiculous and counterintuitive: touch A B ls [a-b]* A This will be fixed if collate order places upper case letters and lower case letters separate, like LC_COLLATE=C does.

[Bug 569711] Re: The system is very slow. The memory is not freed after closing a program. (-pae)
I have an always growing gem_objects count, 2BG of memory gets eventually full and extreme swapping starts. Closing apps never drops the count down. I have ATI radeon RV280, KMS enabled, Ubuntu 10.04, no external repositories, no ppa, just plain Ubuntu installation fully updated. Tried with -generic kernel and a custom compiled 2.6.33.3 kernel from kernel.org, both are the same. If I disable KMS then xorg enters an infinite loop or something like that, it can't be killed with kill -9 and the computer must be rebooted with sysrq (different bug, first appeared on Karmic but still present on Lucid), so I must have KMS enabled. -- The system is very slow. Well, if nobody plans to fix the package for Ubuntu 9.04 you can set it to won't fix but, as far as I know, it is still broken in 9.04 (end of life is still not reached), and certainly I would prefer the package to be removed from repositores as a broken package is not very useful IMHO. -- Crash with stack smashing detected at start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/377632 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 553660] Re: Pattern matching gives unexpected results
Hey, I think I found the reason while sleeping :) The pattern [A-Z] always excludes lowercase a, and: $ ls [a-z]* matches all files starting with any letter *except* the ones starting with uppercase Z (under most locales I've tested).
