[Bug 262679] [NEW] eeepc-acpi-scripts is not installable

2008-08-29 Thread RobotII
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eeepc-acpi-scripts

eeepc-acpi-scripts depends on acpi-support-base, which is not available
in intrepid. Furthermore, the scripts attempt to load the ath_pci
module, which is known not to work with the eeepc. Instead it needs to
be updated to use the ath5k module which is included with 2.6.27 kernel,
and works fine, providing the ath_pci driver is blacklisted. Otherwise,
there is no point in having the package available.

[Bug 245888] Re: Intrepid, on latest updates (mesa updates - 7.1~rc1-0ubuntu1), compiz no longer works and gives white screen on login

2008-07-14 Thread RobotII
I am experiencing this too on Intel GM965 using the -intel driver. My
desktop is workable by disabling compiz effects, but as I use a number
of the accessibility features in compiz, I am hampered from working
effectively by this bug.

Any chance of a fix coming before the release of intrepid? This is an
honest question btw, not a sarcastic comment.

[Bug 81170] Re: [feisty] etodo conduit times out when syncing with a palm device

2007-02-13 Thread RobotII
I am experiencing this problem in feisty using same evolution and palm
tx.

etodo plugin is part of the evolution package so perhaps this should be
changed.

I get the following message when trying to sync tasks to pc with no due
date.

*** stack smashing detected ***: gpilotd terminated

If I add a due date to the task on the palm, then the sync appears to
work in the majority of cases, suggesting this is related to the due
date, although perhaps not exclusively.

[Bug 84292] gpilotd crashes when synchronising tasks with no due date

2007-02-09 Thread RobotII
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-pilot

Create a task on the palm device with no due date.

Try to synchronise it with evolution using gnome-pilot 2.0.15 from
feisty repository

gpilotd refuses to synchronise it, saying the stack was smashed and
terminates.

If the tasks are copied to the Computer from the pda, then it does not
crash, but instead just ignores all of the tasks with no due date.

** Affects: gnome-pilot (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: Unconfirmed
