I opened nautilus and taped name of folder on keyboard. Nautilus showed a quick search field at right bottom corner. I found folder, pressed enter and started to tape name of next folder that I want to find, but quick search fields from upper folder was showen with part of name of upper folder (bug #1). And you can look that is not very comfortable. So, I have some ideas how to do it better. First, the top panel. It is a good for mouse, but not good for finger. It's too small for finger. If it will be bigger in 2x ot 3x (and all icons and plugins on it) it will be more comfortable Second, mouse hovers. It's greate idea for mouse, but we can't use it with finger. So, maybe it's a good idea to add a button on top panel that will show menu? Third, screen keyboard. It's too small, ugly and turning on by hands. Maybe, it will be good if Unity shows screen keyboard automatically when user select input field (only if Ubuntu didn't find keyboard). It's a basic things that will do Ubuntu more comfortable for tablets. And the last. It's not problem of interface, but good thing for tablets. If Ubuntu will have port of Dalvik, it will can run Android applications. It's convenient on Desktop, but I can't do this on tablet. Maybe, it's good idea to create an option that enables alternate method for appearing menu (i.e., button, or click on free space on panel). 2. Top panel too small for using finger. It's very good idea to add option that will be change panel's height and icon's size. P.S. Can you show window buttons (close, minimize, maximize) on top panel always (if window not in fullscreen, duplicate this buttons on top panel). I need to change panels size (in Unity I changed left panel's size from 48 to 32 px (I have a many icons on it) by ccsm, how to changle top panel's size I didn't find (it's too small for using on tablets by finger)). I need to disable left panel's hiding. I need to change num of desktops. In Unity its have size 2x2, in Unity 2d 1x4, so I can change desktop only by left and right buttons, not by up and down. I have the same problem in 11.04. System starts and propose me enter login password in console, but I can't do it, because console hidden by violet screen (without Ubuntu logo and progress bar). So I must wait about 10 minutes for gdm start. I can load in recovery mode (and must hope that Ubuntu not hang on load), enter login and password in console and then type "sudo /etc/inid.t/gdm start" (I'll see text on gdm's loading: unable to find users :no seat-id found) and gdm starts. What's wrong. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm Notebook LG R500-U.CP21R1. Videocard NVidia GeForce 8600M GS. System loads very very long. Ubuntu shows violet screen (without loading progress) for ten minutes and after this loads gdm (I tryed install kdm and xdm - they start long too). If I load system in recovery mode from grub (and notebook hangs, so I need power off, then power on and go to recovery again. I don't know why, but notebook hangs on every odd attemp to start recovery mode and loads on every even attempt) and starts gdm manually by "sudo gdm start" it loads fast. But if I do "sudo startx" instead, X.org loads, but after 10 minutes loads gdm and I must login again. I found this problem in 10.10 but in 11.04 it has worsened.
