[Bug 1068486] Re: Please backport Django 1.3.4/1.4.2 security updates

2012-10-29 Thread Rodrigo Campos
Hi,

It's been almost two weeks since the official security release. Any news
when an ubuntu package will be available with the fix ?

Thanks,
Rodrigo

[Bug 945071] [NEW] mplayer in 12.04 is not compiled with RTMP support

2012-03-02 Thread Rodrigo Campos
Public bug reported:

Hi,

mplayer in ubuntu 12.04 is not compiled with RTMP support. You can see
that by checking that by checking it is not linked against librtmp ldd
`which mplayer` if I'm not wrong.

I think adding to the build deps librtmp-dev or rtmpdump should make
it work

[Bug 814123] [NEW] phpldapadmin: php class 'LDAPServers' not found when opening web interface

2011-07-21 Thread Rodrigo Campos
Public bug reported:

Hi,

I've upgraded from using the lucid-updates repo. The thing is, now when I
go to the web interface I see this error: php class 'LDAPServers' not
found when opening web interface.

And the web interface is unusable.

Searching, it seems the bug is that /etc/phpldapadmin/config.php is not
treated as a config file and changes are needed for the upgrade. So if
you upgrade your phpmyadmin from lucid and your config.php file is not
updated to the new syntax (as it happens, not even a notice is given
using low debconf priority) then the web interface stops working. This
is what is reported in debian's BTS: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=578981 and the conclusion they got.

This is also fixed in Debian since October 2010, so please consider
backporting the new package, the fix, or fixing this some other way.
Because really, upgrading phpldapadmin renders the package unusable.

Thanks a lot,
Rodrigo

[Bug 745747] [NEW] NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0 (ATL1E): transmit queue 0 timed out

2011-03-30 Thread Rodrigo Campos
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.38-7-server

Hi,

I'm using lucid with a 2.6.38 kernel from the kernel ppa.

My host is mainly running some KVM VMs (windows and linux right now)
some Linux with virtio and some Linux without (the windows does not use
virtio).

At the time this happened, other PC was running rsync against a virtio
(virtio-net and virtio-blk) guest (it is a backup)

This has happened before with a 2.6.31 kernel from Ubuntu 9.10 too.

Here is the backtrace in the host:

[Bug 745785] [NEW] KVM HOST: Freeze every ~2 weeks

2011-03-30 Thread Rodrigo Campos
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.38-7-server

Hi,

I had a Ubuntu 9.10 under some hardware without any problem. Some day
the mother broke so I changed it (keep processor, mem, etc) and this
problem started to happen.

The problem is that sometimes, some VM stops responding. It has no
network, I can connect through VNC but nothing is shown. And the qemu
monitor seems to work. So please let me know if you want the output of
some command.

Also, I've seen this backtraces in the kern.log:

Also, I've just noted that after the 10 mkfs run, 3 minutes later,
collectd started logging:

 See comment #5. Sorry.

I thought it would be activated since it is activated on Lucid. Sorry

And thanks a lot anyway :)

I've just tried it and lxc-checkconfig still says: User namespace: disabled.
This should be because CONFIG_USER_NS is not set. But the other options seems to
be OK (although I didn't try them yet)

Is there any chance this option (CONFIG_USER_NS) is enabled too ?

Thanks a lot,
Rodrigo

Rodrigo, that debdiff cannot be used because the current version of
lighttpd in Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) is 1.4.22-1ubuntu4. The security fixes

 policy).

Ohh, makes sense.

I'm not sure I will try to backport it since I'm not sure I'm going to have time
during the weekend and, also, I dont need 1.4.22-1ubuntu4 + the oom fix. I need
1.4.26 (or to backport more fixes). But I will try to look at it :)

Thanks a lot,
Rodrigo
