[Bug 468519] Re: wpa_supplicant causes system to crash.

2010-04-21 Thread Rodrigo Vieira Couto
Hi! I have a Dell Inspiron 1545, running Karmic, issuing the same
problem. The only thing I can add to the already described symptom is
that after disabling my wireless card using the FN key, the system
stopped hanging. Here are my hardware details:

[Bug 566064] [NEW] Crash after boot or resume

2010-04-18 Thread Rodrigo Vieira Couto
Public bug reported:

Randomly after a few minutes of booting or resuming from suspension, the
whole PC crashes. A black screen appears with the mouse cursor located
where it was right before of the crash and a non-blinking terminal
cursor on the upper left corner. CTRL-ALT-DEL or -BACKSPACE doesn't
work. Network isn't accessible (i tried connecting through ssh to see if
any logs appeared). Afterwards, if you check the /var/log directory,
there is no log updated after the crash.

Is there another way to gather more information about this crash? Would
a photo of the screen help?

right direction, I think I can handle this and generate a patch. Are
there docs about the build process I could read or info about this work
I should know to start? Thanks.

What I have found is that on some feisty kernel updates, there weren't
