[Bug 1945043] Re: Impish: problem with bluetooth mouse: not connectable
I'm having a similar problem with a Logitech MX Anywhere 2S mouse In hirsute, I had no issues whatsoever with the mouse bluetooth connection -- the machine would boot, or wake from suspend, I'd just touch the mouse and it would be connected, with minimal lag. After upgrading to 21.10, the mouse would not connect. Trying to force the connection in the bluetooth panel (or via bluetoothctl) did not work -- I had to remove the pairing and pair it again. If I hibernate, reboot or shut the computer down, the mouse won't reconnect -- I have to pair it again. If I suspend the machine or turn the mouse off (it has a physical on/off toggle), it reconnects without issue. Removing the `cache/${device_mac}` and `${device_mac}/{info,attributes}` under `/var/lib/bluetooth/${controller_mac}` did not change anything. I have no issue with reconnecting my bluetooth keyboard and two different headsets -- the system boots/reboots/resumes and I just press a key in the keyboard and it's connected. Any time I power on one of the headsets, it connects without trouble. I've tested in my fedora 34 box and had no issue reconnecting the mouse after rebooting (fedora has bluez==5.61-1.fc34 and kernel 5.14.11-200.fc34). [Bug 830840] Re: Chat window will not open
This seems to be an intermittent bug for men. Soon after login, the message list appears to work ok -- click on a contact, it opens a chat window, adds an entry to the notification tray. Most of the times, the problem occurs after I open the first chat window -- i.e. I start chatting with contact A; soon I need to send a message to contact B, who is online. Clicking on the contact name or drag-and- dropping the contact into an opened chat window does not work. If contacts A and B started conversations with me and I only answered them in the notification tray, I usually can open the chat window via the notification "bubble" for *only one of the contacts*. Works the first time only, then I can not open any other chat window. Starting a chat via gnome-contacts works correctly. Most of the times, the only solution to have the chat windows back is to close all chat windows and the contact list, disconect from all IM accounts, kill mission-control and then start all over again. Curiously, after I opened the debug window to generate the log, I figured I had regained the ability to open chat windows. Don't think it's related, but 've never seen empathy get back to working correctly... ** Attachment added: "mission control log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/830840/+attachment/2648366/+files/mission-control-27-12-11_16-08-24.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830840 Title: Chat window will not open To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/830840/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 657805] [NEW] Fullscreen applications vs Global Menu
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity GTK/Gnome applications that have a full screen mode do not display the menu bar, since the menu is stolen by Mutter. This may be an unexpected behavior in some cases (e.g. Terminal, in full screen mode, is still supposed to show the menu bar). Also, using the shortcuts to access the menu causes an awkward effect, since the menu (but not the menubar) is shown relative to it's position in mutter's panel, making it look like a ghost popup menu. When switching to fullscreen mode, mutter could keep an auto-hiding top panel over the fullscreen window. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: wishlist -- Fullscreen applications vs Global Menu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/657805 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

When it doesn't, we have a "tclID notinited" on the statusbar and firefox hangs, eating 99% of cpu. I need to kill it and try again. Sometimes, it won't work during a whole day on a specific computer, but will work on some other with the same versions of ubuntu, java and firefox. Sometimes it doesn't work on any computer I have nearby. It doesn't help that the error happens *after* you entered the password, so it requires a client of the bank to debug. Set the timeout to active¬ * for the case we lose this connection shortly, it will reach this point and then¬ * nm_device_is_activated will return FALSE, letting the scan proceed.¬ */¬ /if ((self->priv->num_freqs > 14) && nm_device_is_activated (NM_DEVICE (self)) == TRUE)¬ /Atheros does not like scanning too and has 11 channels, changing this to 10 (Kassick) if ((self->priv->num_freqs > 10) && nm_device_is_activated (NM_DEVICE (self)) == TRUE)¬ {¬ nm_device_802_11_wireless_set_scan_interval (app_data, self, NM_WIRELESS_SCAN_INTERVAL_ACTIVE);>¬ goto reschedule;¬ }¬ -- Regular network drops with madwifi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/37821 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 37239] Re: VPN connection should alter /etc/resolv.conf
I was looking into the code of network-manager-openvpn and the vpn- manager in nm; It seems that the openvpn plugin receives the dns server list (in my case, there are none) and adds them to the config struct. vpn-manager later discards the old ip4_config and uses the new one, which has no dns, and then resolv.conf is generated empty. What would be a good policy for servers in the resolv.conf generated when a vpn is active? I thought of 1 - servers in "prepend-domain-name-servers" in dhclient.conf 2 - if the vpn is not the default route, the servers received by the active interface's dhclient 3 - servers received by the vpn plugin -- VPN connection should alter /etc/resolv.conf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/37239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 87998] Re: Startup errors from c.vim
This was caused by an old version of vim c/c++ ide plugin removing ~/.vim/ftplugin/c/menu.vim (or c.vim) and installing the latest version (http://vim.sourceforge.net/scripts/script.php?script_id=213) worked for me -- Startup errors from c.vim https://launchpad.net/bugs/87998 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 75746] Characters produced by dead keys do not work with history/search list being shown
Public bug reported: If you start typing an address, soon the history/search dropdown list will open. While it's being shown, typing characters produced by dead keys, like ~ in international keyboards (mine is a brazilian abnt2), won't work, since I must type ~ and then space. Typing addresses like www.ab.com/~someone requires to type www.ab.com/ , then click the location entry to make the history list disappear, and then typing ~ ** Affects: epiphany-browser (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Characters produced by dead keys do not work with history/search list being shown https://launchpad.net/bugs/75746 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
