Yes Fabio, I am still suffering from the same bug although keeping OS
updated each day.

With no help until now, I am bound to shutdown system using the following 
command on terminal :
$> sudo poweroff now

And, restart using the following --
$> sudo shutdown -r now



** Description changed:

  From day or two after some updates in Ubuntu 11.10, I have started
  getting false battery messages of "battery is critically low" and also
  when trying to shutdown or restart from UI, I gets stuck on login
- screen(after cheecking batter status in terminal when trying to shut
- down or restart).
