Hi Charles, "ensure that the layout is us" means that you must select the US layout either by shortcut or by using indicator menu. So basically, open gedit and set layout #1 there. [Bug 951818] [NEW] USB sound card volume buttons affect master volume
Public bug reported: I have a USB soundcard, which has three buttons for volume control: volume up, volume down and mute. [Bug 884379] [NEW] Language selector shows incorrect language
Public bug reported: Language selector state is inconsistent when switching between windows. I have two keyboard layouts installed: English (Dvorak) and Russian. Different layouts are used for individual windows, new windows use the default layout. The problem is: when I switch from a window with Russian layout to a window with English layout, the language selector does not change from 'ru' to 'en'. If I try to type, English layout is used, but the language selector still shows 'ru'. [Bug 568401] Re: Indicator applets open when pressing S or M key via NX, VNC
After digging further into the code, I found the problem: the egg_keymap_resolve_virtual_modifiers() function in indicator-applet-0.3.6/src/eggaccelerators.c returns concrete_mods=0 for modifiers that are not bound to any key (which I confirm happens for Super key in remote session). As a temporary (?) solution, I propose not to grab a key in indicator-applet-0.3.6/src/tomboykeybinder.c:do_grab_key() function if binding->modifiers equals zero. -- Indicator applets open when pressing S or M key via NX, VNC https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568401 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 568401] Re: Indicator applets open when pressing S or M key via NX, VNC
I've just found why I'm having this problem with plain local login (not with VNC). I had my Windows key mapped to Hyper, I changed this to default behavior (Super key), this fixed it for me. I have downloaded the indicator's sources and I can see in indicator-applet-0.3.6/src/applet-main.c that the shortcut passed to tomboy_keybinder_bind() function is either "S" or "M"; so the "" part did not work for my system. -- Indicator applets open when pressing S or M key via NX, VNC https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568401 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
