Thank you for reporting this bug. I have follower the steps you have
described with banshee 1.6, but I cannot reproduce this. It does work as
expected, the song added to play queue after clicking the play button is
also played. What plugins do you have enabled? What kind of files are
you playing?

This bug affects me too, on a HP Probook 4710s. I have tried the ideas

[Bug 595923] Re: "Sound volume down" key launches GCalc

2010-06-18 Thread Roth Róbert
Thank you for reporting the bug. I have tried it on a HP Probook 4710s, but the
volume down shortcut with Fn is working as expected. So it's not something
generally HP Probook related.
About testing laptop keys you can find some info here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTesting/Keycodes
I have tested the keycodes for volume up and down with the xev command, but the
output for these did not differ. A method using the showkey in another TTY is
also described there, that gave me the keycodes 114 and 115 for volume changes.
Maybe you could test this too.

[Bug 157306] Re: greyed options in right click context menu

2010-06-13 Thread Roth Róbert
I Agree with antistress: This bug is not the one that is linked to from
upstream: the bug reported there is that when middle-click dragging
files in a folder with no write permissions, copy, move, and create link
are not grayed out, as they should be and as they are when just right-
clicking a file or folder in that directory. The bug reported here is
about the popup menu being cluttered by grayed out items, and requests
the removal of some items in cases where they are not applicable, like
grayed out "Cut" on a drive or a grayed out "Restore icon size" on an
item which does not have it's icon size changed.

[Bug 548819] Re: Lucid beta-1:same python script duplicate(but differrent directory) in gnome-sudoku and gnome-games-common

2010-06-10 Thread Roth Róbert
In the directories mentioned above, /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/ and
/usr/share/pyshared/ the directories gnome_sudoku and glchess are duplicated.
The diff between them is that one of them does contain the pyc and pyo files,
which if I'm right, are generated when the py file is successfully compiled.
The gnome_sudoku sources duplicated are 231.6 kb, the glChess sources are 693.5
kb, that's almost 1 Mb of wasted space.
This is still a problem in the released Lucid version. Is this a packaging
problem?

[Bug 592074] Re: hugday current returns next hugday (if available) on a hugday

2010-06-10 Thread Roth Róbert
Sorry, my mistake... I did not check the date... it is true that the
next hugday should not work, as it is not set up yet, but hugday current
should return the current hugday, shouldn't it? the problem is that
today, on the 20100610 the hugday current command returns 20100617.

** Summary changed:

- hugday list does not work with 20100617
+ hugday current returns next hugday (if available) on a hugday

[Bug 587391] Re: Problem in creating new panels

2010-05-29 Thread Roth Róbert
I have experienced this behaviour too ... the Panels are hidden by
default when added. That's why they appear when logging out and in. This
is fixed in the next version of gnome, 2.31.2, I think, because the
gnome panel news contains an entry: "Make sure that newly-created
panels become unhidden (Vincent)"

[Bug 585627] Re: There's no way to learn the master volume percentage grafically in 10.04

2010-05-29 Thread Roth Róbert
Indicators won't have tooltips. That is a design decision. But the sound
applet is getting a major face-lift for the next release, so it might
contain that information - the percentage of the current master volume
level, if I understood well.

[Bug 585750] Re: Refresh closes any expanded folders

2010-05-29 Thread Roth Róbert
Yes, it is reproducible, follow the steps:
1. Open a folder with subfolders in it
2. Set the view type to List
3. Click on the + sign before any of the subfolders to expand the folder, to
see its contents
4. Click the Refresh button or press F5 to refresh the folder contents

Expected result: The folder contents are refreshed, the expanded folders
remain expanded, the collapsed ones remain collapsed

Result: The folder contents get refreshed, but all subfolders which were
previously expanded, are collapsed, so the view is set to its initial
state, like it was when you have opened the folder.

[Bug 586607] Re: Eclipse crashes when i try to modify any method

2010-05-29 Thread Roth Róbert
It happened to me, tried with Sun Java 6, and it ahppened also with
that. The solution for me was to remove the xulrunner 1.9.3, installed
from the Mozilla Daily PPA to run Firefox 3.7. Try removing that package
and see if eclipse still crashes after that.

[Bug 586235] [NEW] applets not displayed or displayed corrupted

2010-05-27 Thread Roth Róbert
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

With lucid lynx it often happens that panel applets are displyed corrupted...
most of the times the icon for showing the desktop is displayed corrupted (only
half of it is displayed), but there are worse cases, like for example now the
network manager applet is not displayed - there is although an approximately 1
pixel wide area, which, when clicked, displays the network menu. Yesterday on
my friends computer the session indicator applet got corrupted, showing only a
part of the (strange) MeMenu status indicator icon.
Rearranging the applets does not solve the problem, only removing them and
adding again.

behaviour, please? And if you do, please write a comment with the exact
