[Bug 359831] Re: [i945gm] all video players crash with BadAlloc error (no Compiz, Xv) if Virtual width > 2048.
I was getting this error on a clean install of Kubuntu Jaunty on a ThinkCentre with an Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) with 32MB VRAM (maxed out in BIOS) with a single monitor running at 1680x1050. Dragon played back audio but with a solid blue block in place of the XVideo overlay, while VLC and the xine-ui simply exited with BadAlloc errors. I followed cleggton's instructions in post 18 above to revert back to Intel driver version 2.4 and the problem disappeared. Any idea what changed in the driver that would cause this problem? -- [i945gm] all video players crash with BadAlloc error (no Compiz, Xv) if Virtual width > 2048. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/359831 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 365382] Re: acer touchpad not working after upgrade to latest kernel (2.6.28-11)
Any further developments on this? Last night I tried to upgrade a friend's Aspire to Jaunty from Hardy and gave up because of how bad the LiveCD was behaving. Same details as above (keyboard works, kinda, until the touchpad is used) with the added bit of fun that I can move the cursor (sporadically, up and down only) using the arrow buttons that this particular Aspire has in place of a middle touchpad button. Any ideas what changed between Hardy and Jaunty to cause this (or, more to the point, a work-around/fix)? -- acer touchpad not working after upgrade to latest kernel (2.6.28-11) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/365382 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 286168] Re: Automatically reconnect to known wireless networks with hidden SSID
I'm having exactly the same problem. Went to suspend, and came back with no network connection. Reconnected again by typing in the SSID under "Connect to Other Wireless Network" and setting the security settings, although I typed in garbage for the WPA password and the KDE Wallet still retrieved the right password (which is a very good thing, since I had *just* shredded the piece of paper I had written the password on). Anyway, I'll try waiting next time, see if giving it five minutes makes a difference, but either way this is a tad annoying (especially with a long password)... -Russ -- Automatically reconnect to known wireless networks with hidden SSID https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286168 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 292403] Re: MASTER firefox 3.03 in kubuntu 8.10 requires gnome apps
I'm not sure I quite understand why this is happening; ubufox is still just listed as a "recommended" and not a true dependency. Is the new apt-get default behaviour to install recommended packages as well? -- MASTER firefox 3.03 in kubuntu 8.10 requires gnome apps https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292403 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 238131] Re: whiteout on console makes console unusable after resume from hibernation [i945GM]
Hi there, I installed the unofficial package and it made no noticeable difference for me (although I never had the discoloured tty consoles, only the all- white screen). I've attached my Xorg.0.log.
