Terrance did you follow the PPA instructions as Matt pointed out?
Copy each of the 3 lines, one at a time and paste it into a terminal window. 
Follow each with a return.

No go on my Live CD. "Live", "Live Video=ofonly", Live-Powerpc64",  
Live-nosplash-powerpc64" and Live-powerpc64 video=ofonly" go as far  
as prom-init and stop. Apparently some kernel panic is killing the  
boot up.
Sorry, that's as far as my experience will take me.

Can't find the 7.10beta. Do you have a link?
I have never been successful installing any linux (or BSD for that  
matter) on my G5. I have an ATI X800 XT installed in my box and I'm  
guessing that is my problem.
