Apparently I'm not allowed to see the bug this is meant to be a

I'll take that back. Its failing again after a reboot.

After I get the hung instance stopped sudo dpkg-reconfigure mysql-

[Bug 445936] Re: xrandr --output VGA no longer fixes display

2009-10-27 Thread Sam Barker
I've done a bit more testing.

The problems with the VGA out happen when the laptop lid is closed. If I
boot and run the script nothing changes. When I open the lid both
external displays go to the correct resolution in clone mode. I suspect
there is something funny going on with detecting how to use external VGA
when the laptop lid is closed.

[Bug 445936] Re: xrandr --output VGA no longer fixes display

2009-10-26 Thread Sam Barker
I have a similar problem. When I dock my laptop at work its connected to
a pair of external monitors which for some reason I've needed a shell
script to configure them. However at some point in the karmic release
cycle the script stopped working. The DVI output doesn't change
resolution and the VGA output never enables. However if I do the
equivalent steps through gnome-display-properties it works.

Further information

The steps I have to take are:

Switch off the laptop's own display (LVDS1)
Add the correct mode to VGA1
Set HDMI1 to the correct resolution
Set VGA1 to the correct resolution and move it to the right of HDMI1

[Bug 420557] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in gm_audio_profile_get_id()

2009-10-01 Thread Sam Barker
rhythmbox 0.12.5-0ubuntu1 is certainly marked as a dependences of
libflac8. I'd updated to 0.12.5-0ubuntu1 before realising you were
looking for an update. As I already have libflac8 installed I can't test
on my system, but the dependency is captured so I believe its fixed.

2008-11-02 Thread Sam Barker

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/286285 I found this
report first but #286285 seems to have more information and still match
