[Bug 449196] Re: High Xorg CPU usage?
Me too :( After updating to the latest (July 2010) driver and kernel, Xorg takes a considerable amount of CPU. Restarting the system fixes the problem as well. Toshiba Satellite A305. [Bug 293001] Re: SCIM disturbs keyboard focus
Hi, I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to respond. I'm using Karmic and the latest version of (java 1.6.0_15-b03) now. The bug is not gone but there is a simple workaround so I think it should be tagged as 'Low' importance. First you must set the input method with im-switch to scim-bridge. Then, when the java program starts, just quit and restart SCIM. thanks for your help, sampi -- SCIM disturbs keyboard focus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293001 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 392250] Re: Scim Segfault
This problem still exists in the latest packaging of scim-1.4.9 for Ubuntu Karmic. However, there is a workaround: start scim with: scim -f socket -d This should work until they fix the problem. -- Scim Segfault https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/392250 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I experienced this problem when using the MSN protocol. Re: [Bug 293001] Re: SCIM disturbs keyboard focus
I haven't been able to test it with Karmic/Lucid but I will give it a try when I can. thanks, Juan On Sun, Nov 8, 2009 at 11:58 PM, Niels Thykier wrote: > Hi > > Is this still a problem with the new eclipse 3.5.1 in Karmic/Lucid (9.04 > and 9.10 respectively). > > ~Niels > > > ** Changed in: eclipse (Ubuntu) > Status: New => Incomplete > > -- > SCIM disturbs keyboard focus > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293001 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of a duplicate bug. > > Status in SCIM: Unknown > Status in “eclipse” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete > Status in “scim” package in Ubuntu: New > > Bug description: > Binary package hint: scim > > Ubuntu 8.10 (but the same problems occured in 8.04LTS) > SCIM 1.4.7-3ubuntu10 > > Sometimes, when multiple applications are in use, or when applications > produce popups, the keyboard focus is lost. [Bug 427708] [NEW] Supertux keyboard input not working properly with SCIM
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: supertux -Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex -supertux-0.3.1d-0ubuntu2 -scim-1.4.7-3ubuntu10 Whenever using SCIM for Chinese character (and I suspect other) input and playing supertux, the keyboard input works incorrectly. What I expected to happen: Keyboard input works as it would when I disable SCIM (normally). What happened instead: When I press the down arrow once(while on the menu or playing) the game acts as if the down key is constantly being pressed. [Bug 401278] [NEW] scim freezes keyboard input in java, firefox (possibly other applications)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: scim -I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10. -I'm using SCIM 1.4.7-3ubuntu10. -What I expected to happen: SCIM should work in all applications at all times and keyboard input should not freeze -What happened instead: Keyboard input freezes (keyboard not responsive including keyboard shortcuts) when multiple applications are open and windows are switched using Alt-Tab. -How to reproduce: 1. Open SCIM. 2. Open a Firefox window. 3. Open a Java application. 4. Type something in Firefox. 5. Switch using Alt-Tab from Firefox window to Java window. 6. Try to type something the Java window. 7. Keyboard input freezes in either Java window or Firefox window. -Workaround: Close (or kill) SCIM and reopen the applications. I've tried different settings for im-switch (scim, scim-bridge, xim, etc). I only tested Sun Java 5 and Sun Java 6. I'm not sure if this is a duplicate bug but I failed to find a good bug report that either wasn't marked as Invalid or Solved. Thanks for the good work, launchpad. I hope I can help solve the problem. ** Affects: scim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: java keyboard scim -- scim freezes keyboard input in java, firefox (possibly other applications) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/401278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
